Piscataway Park

My Pink Saturday post is here:   Pink Saturday

After leaving the Mattawomen creek( in my post below) hubby and I stopped for a walk at the Piscataway Park. The trail leads you down to a boardwalk along the Potomac River. Even though it was later in the day we saw a couple of Prothonotary Warblers, a flock of  swallows, a few Osprey, a cormorant, lots of butterflies and dragonflies.

  1. Hi Eileen, your butterfly photos are beautiful as are the ones of the comorants and ospreys. I've been a bit absent in following blogs regularly. Please forgive me; I'm trying to catch up so here I am. It's good to visit your beautiful blog again. Blessings Jo

  2. I was struck my your comment "a few osprey." I remember the late 80s in eastern PA when a local biology professor hacked Osprey chicks(well, his students did the grunt work) along the Delaware River. It was a significant occurrence. Now they are almost routine. Life can make a comeback if we stop screwing things up.
