Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
My post today I sharing some fence scenes from my neighborhood for Tex's Good Fence meme, some backyard birds and a couple shots of the moon for my Skywatch Friday post.
For my Good Fence post this week I am sharing this fence that has birdhouses on all the fence posts.. I ride by here often and I enjoy seeing all the different kinds of birdhouses. Sometimes they change them out and put out new houses.
A closer view of some of the houses and fence.I have not seen teakettle bird houses.
If I were a bird, I would be a little afraid of this birdhouse..
Some more of the houses seen along the fence.. we had to move (traffic got in the way) so I could not get more closeups of the houses, but they all look cute..
Back in my yard..is a Tufted Titmouse.. they seem to be quite active in my yard.. Chasing each other all around..
The pretty Indigo Buntings are still visiting, it would be nice if they stayed all summer.
The moon on Monday evening..Almost full.
I zoomed in for a gorgeous look at the moon. The Full Moon is on the 16th. I hope you enjoyed my post..
To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit Skywatch Friday
and check more fence shots at Tex's Good Fences
Thanks to Tex @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and to Sylvia, Yogi and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday! I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

Hi Eileen What a fun idea to put bird boxes on fence post. I wonder do birds ever nest in them? Love your birds shots.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Eileen.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the idea of those birdhouses on the fences. We have small cut-outs of birds on ours-they were there when we bought the place. I've repainted most of them--and have thought of expanding on the idea. This would work out well-and might give real birds another nesting option.
Have a good day---we're supposed to get snow, but just light and it should melt right away, but yuck, ya know!!!
Hello Eileen!!
ReplyDeleteWow!!A fence full of those preety birdhouses!!I like the idea!!It looks so preety!!Great shots of your beautiful yard birds, and the full moon!!Wishing you a happy day!Hugs!

I would love to have a fence with birdhouses all along it. If I were a bird, I think I would avoid the cat! Beautiful birds and LOVE the moon!
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea of birds' house on hense; and varieties of them♡♡♡ I smiled with the caption of cat version.
ReplyDeleteI love your birds collection "Tufted Titmouse" is really lovely. And as always, I love your moon shots☆☆☆
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to Eileen, xoxo Miyako*

ReplyDeletethat kittie boid house is so cute.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Very cute! We hang our birdhouses from the fence posts, and it works, too. But our fence is a 6' cedar fence!
ReplyDeletereally like that fence! double duty of a good fence and good housing. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for linking in! great moon shot, too!
Awww...Bird real estate in your area is delightful. So many to choose from! The Indigo Bunting is gorgeous, and yes, I did take in that almost full moon on Sunday. It was the end of a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of the nature around you and the birds. I like the moon shot most. Amazing !
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
Wonderful moon shots.
ReplyDeleteThose birds are just adorable! I think they should make use of those houses all along that fence. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love all those bird boxes on the fence, I wonder whether any bird ever dares to nest in the cat shaped box?
ReplyDeleteYour indigo buntings are beautiful, such a wonderful colour
I love all those cute birdhouses along the fenceline. Gorgeous shot of the moon.
ReplyDeleteThat cat birdhouse is a hoot! Cute little Titmouse, and a gorgeous moon shot!
ReplyDeleteI love that fence!
ReplyDeleteWhat a most awesome moon. We didn't see it last night or tonight due to rains and storms. Maybe Friday night???
ReplyDeleteThat's a great fence with all the bird houses!! Just wonder how many are used in the spring and summer time!!
The birdhouses are charming (except the cat one, that is kind of weird, I agree). Beautiful moon shots -- you're expert at that. Thanks for the reminder of the full moon -- I'll try to get at shot of it here at the Lake.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend that put a row of bird houses on her garage ... they were all the same and the sparrows faught and faught over them. Then she realized that they were mixing them up, so she painted numbers on each house ... guess what> Peace and Quiet. This post reminded me of that and these people are smart enough to make each house a little different. Love it, especially the Cat house :)

What a cool idea with the birdhouses! Great photo of the moon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool fence. Love all those birdhouses, especially the one of the cat.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, What whimsical and bright bird houses. No, I also have never seen a custom-made tea kettle bird home. Fun. Yes, that kitty house would be slightly scary (probably to us more than the birdies). Your Indigo Buntings are really pretty - I long to see some. Have a great day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your bird pics, love the little titmouse. Also, what a great idea to place birdhouses on top of fence posts, especially the cute cat birdhouse!
ReplyDeleteThose bird houses are so cute and whimsical! I wonder if the birds actually use them? Lovely images of the back yard birds and moon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post very much, from the whimsical bird houses to your beautiful moon photo.
ReplyDeleteOh I love all the birdhouses along the fence. I've always wanted to do that. I have no fence here though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful variety of shots for the day, Eileen!! I love those cute birdhouses! Great fences and beautiful blue, blue skies!! Thanks as always for sharing the fun and the beauty! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI like the colourful birdhouses along the fence! I wonder if the birds actually nest in them. This reminds of a fence north of us that has some unusual objects on top of the posts ... I'll have to take a little drive up there and see if they still have them and will link up next week to "Good Fences" if they do. It'll be a surprise! Nice shot of the moon :) Wendy x
ReplyDeleteI dream of seeing an Indigo Bunting one day...
ReplyDeleteFantastic bird houses, and what a moon, it is nearly full, brilliant shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with your fence-posts and beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, putting up all those birdhouses on the fence posts! I wonder how many are occupied? :-)
ReplyDeleteYour birds are sure pretty. I haven't noticed any Tufted Titmouse in our yard yet this year.
I happened to see the moon Monday night, too. It was gorgeous! Glad you were able to get these wonderful captures of it.
Thanks for your visit and comment on my fences.

Wow, great fence and moon shots, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteLove those fence toppers!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw the birds boxes on the fence was: my goodness, they are are easy to reach for a predator such as a cat or a snake!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not the case!
Lovely post, I love the Tit mouse!
Keep well Eileen!
All those beautiful bird houses, but they are very close together, many birds do not think that's really nice.
ReplyDeleteI think they do not all occupied, just like the sparrows that nest close together.
The moon is really sublime Eileen.
