Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
These are some of my photos from the past week up until July 16th.. I have some sunrise shots, morning glories, birds and some more of hubby's sunset shots and July's Supermoon.. I guess you could say another hodge-podge of photos..
The Sunrise seen on my way to work
A closer look at the sunrise..
The proud Poppa to be...I hope to see some baby bluebirds before they fledge.
The good Momma sitting in the house, taking good care of her babies.
For Tex's Good Fences....a Pink Flamingo yard decoration half hidden by the fence and the pokeberries growing like crazy.
The morning glory vine is covering our fence, along with pokeberry. The birds will be very happy when the berries are ripe..
Yes, there is a fence under all that pokeberry.. Like last fall I can not wait to see the warblers coming thru my yard, the pokeberries will be waiting for them.
Hubby's sunset, a colorful sky.
I drove down the road some, near the bridge to take some shots of July's Supermoon.
July's supermoon also known as the Buck Moon, this is the time of year when the bucks start growing antlers! This supermoon is also called the Thunder Moon and the Hay Moon. The July Super full moon is also the first of three full-moon Super Moons. The next two Supermoons coming up are on August 10 and September 9. The closest of the supermoons will be on August 10th, when the moon will only be 221,765 miles from earth. Pretty cool!
I hope you enjoyed my post and photos

HI Eileen Love the sunrise and sunset shots as well as Poppa Bluebird.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful warm Sunset and fantastic photos of the birds.
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
Love the shots of the moon. Years ago, when I was unaware of such things, I was sitting in my back field trying (TRYING) to unwind after a particularly bad day and the moon was rising--and it was THE HUGEST moon I've ever seen. I had never seen that before--it seemed like it was 100 times bigger than normal. I was hooked and had to find out more. It was indeed a "supermoon". I think that's when I finally became human--I noticed there were things going on in the world, in nature--it wasn't just me and my problems.
ReplyDeleteI think that's when I became a "nature nut"-LOL!
Enjoy the day, Eileen.

Beautiful photos! I tried to take photos of the moon that night, but saw nothing but clouds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful landscapes, as usual!
ReplyDelete"Hodge podge" isn't a pretty enough term for a collection of beauties like this! You sure get some amazing sunrises - and what a soft and lovely sunset. That moon was gorgeous, wasn't it? It seemed to stay full for days! And how I love your bluebird family photos! So sweet. I wonder if you've seen any "baby blues" by now? :-) Your lush place looks like birdie heaven….
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Wow! We just returned from two weeks vacation to the Four Corners and the Rockies. Can't wait to share the pictures. Lovely seeing your post. Great photos. Loved hearing about the three supermoons for this year. I know about the four blood moons (over two years) that coincide with Hebrew holy days. But, I didn't know about the supermoons. Good to be back on the blogs! I have some awesome critters for future posts!
