I am linking up with Mary's last Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
I am happy to welcome Judith of Lavender Cottage as the new host of Mosaic Monday.. Thanks to Judith, Mosaic Monday lives on.. it has been one of my favorite memes. Special thanks to Mary of Little Red House for being such a great host of Mosaic Monday for these past years..
For my post I am sharing some of my photos from my visit to Hershey Gardens, in Hershey, Pa...the sweetest place on earth..Anyone living on the east coast has heard of the famous Chocolate Hershey bars..and the yummy Hershey kisses..
In the larger photo above you can see the rides at the Hershey Amusement park, we could hear the screams coming from the people on the rides..
I was able to zoom in for a closer look at the double roller coasters that are in the amusement park.
I had to check out the birds at Hershey Gardens too, where there are flowers I can usually find birds.. I did see a few Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. A few Gray Catbirds, Mourning Doves, a Downy Woodpecker and a lot of House Sparrows..

The Butterfly house was my favorite part of our visit to Hershey Gardens..Some of the butterflies we saw were the: Giant Swallowtail, Black Swallowtail, Tiger Swallowtail, Zebra Swallowtail, Eastern Comma, Mexican Bluewing, Monarch, Fritillary, Pipevine Swallowtail, Queen, White Peacock, Question mark, Viceroy, Zebra Longwing,
A lot of the butterflies are seen locally like this Common Buckeye. But some were new to me or seen during my travels..
This butterfly was one of my favorites..I believe this butterfly is called the Julia.
I hope you enjoyed my walk around Hershey Gardens.. As always I thank you for stopping by and for the nice comments.
I hope you can join in on our at Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday

ReplyDeleteIt has been many years since I visited Hershey Park, Eileen, and I don't think they had a butterfly pavilion back then. Luckily for me there is a beautiful butterfly Pavilion near me in Westminster, CO. Your photos of the rides and flowers in the park brought back memories! Does Hershey still offer a ride/tour of their chocolate factory? It was fun!

I looked through your images again.....I did not notice my bench the first time around!! I noticed on my last trip that those benches are all around the gardens now. Use to just be at the entrance. Did you look in the gift shop?? I got some really beautiful cards in there!!
