ReplyDeleteYour bird photos are great, I especially like the Tri-Colored Heron, its feathers are perfection and I like the way the ones on the wings look so carefully arranged. The blue on the face is elegant, too, and what a long sharp beak it has!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait for the W. Storks to return here to our area...they're such an interesting bird.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen--I laughed when I saw the photo of the little Blue Heron--I don't know if it's the eyes or what, but what a silly face.

ReplyDeletethe day of the herons!!! gorgeous "big" birds, they are all my favorites!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos from Circle B, a place that I still have not visited, believe it or not. I must admit to being a stay-at-home kind of birder, mostly because of having a wetland adjacent to my Florida home, and so many local opportunities when I am here in my second home in Illinois.

ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs! Tri-colored Herons and Little Blue Herons are both on my I-hope-I-see-some-day list. They are both so beautiful and I, too, love that blue breeding color. It is magnificent. We do have Black-crowned Night Herons at Reifel Sanctuary, but Bill and I haven't been there since he sold his truck. It's a bit too far to bike. All to say this is great post!
