I have a list below of memes I am joining for this week, and to save time I am doing one post for all. They are all fun memes to participate in...I hope you can join in with the fun and check out some of the participating posts. Special thanks to all the wonderful host and their memes, I hope you have some time to check them out.
Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead! It seems like I am saying this often, are the weeks flying by that quickly?
Winter has finally arrived, we have had a few dustings of snow. As I type this our area is expecting a big snow storm 1-2 feet of snow with blizzard conditions. I am hoping they are wrong or the big stuff misses us. Hubby loves the snow, me not so much! I would rather be on a beach with sunny skies and temps of 75°.
My pretty Cardinals and a White-throated Sparrow.
Cardinals in the snow! They do not look happy!
A little dusting of snow, our front yard, foot prints in the snow.
A snow covered bush next to our driveway.
The crescent moon, sunrise, cardinals and a Cooper's Hawk checking out my treadmill birds.
Sunrise with some pretty pink clouds, the woods next to our property.
This is the view of part of our front yard. The Cooper's Hawk managed to land on the ground under all the pine tree branches to watch the birds I see out my window while I am on the treadmill. I may be back with some more snow photos, you will have to wait and see. The weather is unpredictable sometimes.
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your visits and nice comments. Have a happy day and new week ahead!
As always thanks to the wonderful group of hosts listed below.
Thanks to Michelle for hosting Nature Notes
Thanks to the hosting team of Our World Tuesday!
Eileen,
ReplyDeleteYou are surrounded by beauty and nature.
Little cardinals are some of my favorite birds and they are especially beautiful showcased against Winter woods and snow.
Hope you are doing well and staying warm.
Have a lovely week,
Jemma

ReplyDeleteHave a nice week, thanks a lot for your comments on Vilt og vakkert ;:OD)
Snow came to us, as well... but no blizzard till now (in the city)!! Indeed, it is a hard winter almost everywhere, with freezing temperatures, ...and aspects like in your posts! Admiring your precious moon... I would love to know how it was captured in so fine details! Always is a joy to observe...
ReplyDeleteLovely pink shades of clouds, too!
So, all the best in the new week of january! A gorgeous day of sunday!
Hi Eileen, I am sure this bit of Winter news will be a disappointment to you but it was only 46-48 degrees F. during the day yesterday and 29 overnight last night here in Lake County, Fl. I read where there were snow flurries in Gainesville! So a FL beach would be Southward. But, it seldom stays cold here and is nice a lot of 3 seasons. Have a fantastic coming week & I hope all is good post snowstorm.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that cardinals must endure snow. Regards.
ReplyDeleteThe pink sky and Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal are my favorites of all your pretty pictures this week. The colorful little couple is so dear.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your birds Eileen. You took lovely photos of them. The snow on the leaves, the trees and the moon shots are very nice too. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeletePretty images, especially the Cardinals, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and keep shooting my dear!
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful pics of the birds and the weather. Love the sunrise shot too. Keep warm :-)

Glorious captures, Eileen! Take care of yourself and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos ! Hope you don't get to much snow and be safe ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteShowered by snowflakes, those two cardinals truly don't look to happy, but they sure are cute!!
Lovely shot of the bare branched trees and that wintry sunrise!
Hope you have a lovely week - stay warm!
Poppy
Love the pictures, especially the cardinals. The snow looks pretty too and I'm sure you have a lot more by now! We actually had a few flurries here in north Florida early Saturday morning, but I missed them.
ReplyDeleteI will pass on the snow, Eileen :)
ReplyDeleteThe Cardinals in the moon collage are very pretty - I haven't seen them in this color before.
Have a Great Week!
Peace :)
Oh, Eileen, I love those shots of the cardinals...just love them! I hope you don't get the awful snow predicted. I have not watched the news at all today so don't know what is happening.
ReplyDeleteWe had 30+ inches of snow so you will be seeing a lot of snow pictures... Enjoy
ReplyDeletepretty sky and sweet cardinals. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Cardinal shots, and the Coopers Hawk too! I recently read that Cooper's Hawks will sometimes mimic other birds to lure them -- I had no idea they were such sneaky and smart little critters.
ReplyDeleteHope you've been okay through this storm -- The weathermen pretty much nailed this, didn't they?
I hope you stay warm and safe, and all the birds know where some food is.Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful! Wish it was cooler here, it's been way too hot with temperatures in the 30s...phew!
ReplyDeleteI don't get to see so much snow here, so I like it, but you stay safe and warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics.
Lovely pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead. Take care. Greetings
The birds must be veery cold in those conditions but I know you feed and leave water for them which is great. Love the colours of the sunrise through the trees.
ReplyDeleteThese cardinals are so pretty, I wonder how they like the cold weather. Keep warm!

Hi Eileen,
ReplyDeletewonderful photos of the landscape with snow. I hope you stay save and warm. Have a nice new week, Eileen.
Best regards, synnöve
Hello, Eileen! The cardinals are indeed really pretty - we don't have anything as colourful here. Perhaps the cardinals are not very happy with the snow, but it does look beautiful in your photos. The sunrise images are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!
Those cardinals do look a littler miserable in the snow!
ReplyDeleteI think that the bride was walking back from a photoshoot on Sydney Harbour - popular location with the Opera House and the Bridge as backdrops. (I'll be posting pictures of those two icons soon!)
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
The sunrise with those pretty pink colors is just so beautiful, and I love the snow on the forest ground as well.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty you bring . . .
ReplyDeleteSnow Clobbering?
Beautiful photos of nature. And I think you got your snow!
ReplyDeleteI envy your colorful cardinals Eileen! The moon and the sky are wau!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of those poor cardinals ... they really DO look unhappy with the weather. I hope you didn't get the brunt of the storm, and I'm glad it didn't reach us! We had about, oh, 25 snowflakes fall yesterday :) Actually, I've been missing the snow this year, one of the joys of winter I think. Have a great week Eileen!
ReplyDeleteWendy
Love those cardinals.
ReplyDeletehope you did not get all that snow i see on TV and i love the pink sky and trees and am smiling at the thought there is a treadmill bird.. the cardinals look like i would feel. i do not like cold and am with you on the beaches
ReplyDeleteLook at a those gorgeous cardinals, especially the females. They look so healthy and pretty with such good color. I hope the hawk is not hunting them. Did you get much snow? It is warming up here, finally so lots of melting going on. Again superior photos. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThe dusting of snow looks beautiful especially with the brightly coloured cardinals there. Hope the weather hasn't been too bad. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you got some of the white stuff too Eileen and it does make everything look so very pretty. Those sneaky Cooper's Hawks...one took a Cardinal this past week and that is nature. When you say "treadmill feeder" what is that...just curious. Happy Week my friend~
ReplyDeleteThere is so much beauty. And I have a hunch that you got way more than a dusting of snow. Have a wonderful week, Eileen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat hawk photo and I love the colorful sky. We don't live on the beach but it will be in the 70s tomorrow! YAY! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteIt is really nice to go around your yard with so much natures beauty there.
ReplyDeleteawww, the little cardinals look so cold. i love when the puffy out their feathers like that, so cute. have a warm week, Eileen. take care. ( :
ReplyDeleteThe poor birds do not look happy. Lol.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen! Hope the worst of storm Jonas missed you and the cardinals must have been hoping for the same thing! Lovely photos of your surroundings and I love the soft pink skies.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Hi Eileen! What a pink sky! I think those little red birds looks quite sad in the snow. Maybe they just have a nap.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds and wonderful captures as always!! The cardinals are a favorite of mine and they do show up beautifully in the snow!! Thanks, as always, Eileen for sharing the beauty!! Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteA pretty set of photos. I love the snow, although I don't love clearing it. But a good day downhill skiing is one of my favorite things in the world!
ReplyDeleteThe cardinals are so beautiful even though they look like they are not enjoying the rain and snow. We are lucky to live in Southern California (no snow here!).
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week Eileen ... I hope the snow goes easy on you. A dusting might not be too bad, it certainly makes a beautiful backdrop for your treadmill birds! It's been a lot cooler and wetter here this season than usual ... But no snow at least!
ReplyDeleteI know you had a lot of snow there, Eileen! I hope the weather warms up and it will begin to melt soon. We get lots of snow here too, but in smaller increments at a time which we can handle. I don't mind cold and snow but not extremes.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the cardinals huddled on the branch in the rain/snow is so charming! I know the birds appreciate your bird feeders now after the storm.
Have a great week!
Beautiful photos :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the birds in the snow!
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen,

ReplyDeleteHello Eileen!:) You have such beautiful views through your window. The Cardinals in the snow look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteBy now you should be buried in the snow. We got more than 2 feet here near Granite, MD. I'm out of birdseed and need to try to get out for the first time since Friday. I need groceries too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your photos.
Hello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collages of birds.
I love the Cardinals.
Best regards, Irma
I'm reading these in order, so I look forward to seeing how much snow you got! We had an inch or two, but the bird feeder activity was heavy!! I have to resize all the pictures and blog about it this week! I have mixed feelings about hawks and such visiting... scares off the 'regulars' plus some never come back cause they were eaten! I know it is the way of nature... but makes me sad... Hugs!
ReplyDeletea bit of winter showing
ReplyDeleteIt's really amazing pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe Cardinals I find so beautiful to see!
Gorgeous colors. The other photos are more than beautiful :-)
The cardinals in the rain are especially wonderful! But loved all your shots. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing cardinals as I don't often... Stay warm... Michelle
ReplyDeleteWe got lots of snow, did you? Maybe you should wear a Go Pro Camera while you use the treadmill so you don't miss any bird pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, Beautiful look to your pictures! I love Northern Cardinals. I was happy to have spotted one this morning outside my back door. Unusual place for one but hey, I am not complaining. It has been cool but not cold and it also has been raining off and on the last couple of days. Have a tremendously nice day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely photo's Eileen. I do love the colour of your cardinals.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
How lucky having such beautiful birds, around your yard, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteYou live in a lovely place! Nature all around...
Great shots as usual!
All the best!
Ana
