Hello,
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I wish everyone in the USA a very Happy Thanksgiving. I have much to be thankful for and I hope this Thanksgiving you too have plenty of reasons to give thanks. Speaking of giving thanks, I also want to thank Theresa for being such a great host with the Good Fence meme. Theresa has always been a wonderful blogger and always there commenting on my blog and on everyone's blog. Theresa and her blog post will be missed, I am still hoping she pops in once in while with a new post. Theresa, I wish you all the best.
These images are from Oct 27th, a visit to Merritt Island NWR and Canaveral National Seashore. The mosaic below are from the trail at the Merritt Island NWR visitor center. We left early enough we stopped at Cocoa Beach for the sunrise.
BTW, if you are in the Florida area the Space Coast Birding festival is happening on Jan 25th thru the 30th. The festival sounds like a great time, especially for the birders. Check out the link for all the activities planned.
We saw some pretty colors in the sky, pinks and greens. It looked like a sundog but different.
The boardwalk trail at the Merritt Island NWR visitor center. I like the reflection of the boardwalk fence.
We saw a lot of Little Blue Herons.
A mixed flock of White Ibis, Roseate Spoonbills and Egrets were feeding in this one spot.
I have more images from Merritt Island NWR and will share them on one of my critter posts. I hope you enjoyed this series. Thank you for your visit and comments on my post. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
Here is a list of linky parties for part of the week, I hope to see you there.
Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences.
Thank you to Sylvia, Yogi and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.

ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I was in Florida (where I was born: Broward Country Memorial I think they called it, I thought in Ft. Lauderdale...maybe all the names/locations are changed now). I love all the animals and plants year round. But the bugs and humidity would get me nowadays.

Beautiful pictures lets you see the clouds. The pink spoonbills I find some really special. In the Netherlands they have only white spoonbills.
