We have the same thing here sometimes. Two or three years ago we had a huge influx (as we call it ) of Bohemian Waxwings... I chuckled about your comment on the scouts showing up at your feeders and then their friends showing up a few days later. I was just saying the same thing to my husband earlier today about the Redpolls, and then this afternoon a couple popped up at my feeders.
