Leister Park

Hello and happy Thursday!

On this day hubby and I enjoyed our walk on a paved trail at the Leister Park in Hampstead Maryland.

Along the path were wildflowers, some people would call them weeds. I was enjoying the Goldfinches eating the seeds off some dead flowers.

Call you find the two Goldfinches mixed in with the Chicory and Queen Anne's Lace?

A female Eastern Bluebird was chasing bugs on the trail.

A Chipping Sparrow with a mouthful of some kind of bug.

This Queen Anne's Lace reminds me of a snowflake.

The sky and Queen Anne's Lace.

More sky and the paved trail. After a rain this paved trail is nice for walking, there is no mud!

On the way home a barn scene for Tom's Barn Collective.

Just a drive away from home I can usually find some kind of barn.

The Waxing Gibbous moon on August 5th. Full moon was seen on Aug 8th.

Leister Park

I am linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.

For this week's Good Fence and Skywatch Friday memes I am sharing some scenes from our walk in the local Leister Park in Hampstead Md. The most common bird seen on our walk was the Brown Thrasher. There were also a lot of Gray Catbirds and American Robins, Crows, Eastern Bluebirds and lots of Barn Swallows flying over the fields.

One of the many Brown Thrashers we saw during our walk.

A Queen Anne's Lace sky.

Brown Thrasher and a Gray Catbird off to the right.

For Tex's Good Fences, I am sharing my mosiac of fences. Above top row: American Crows, juvenile Eastern Bluebird, three Bluebirds. Bottom row a fence shot, Eastern Kingbird on fence and a Song Sparrow.

It was a pretty summer day for a walk on the trail. Pretty puffy white clouds, low humidity we could not ask for a better day for a walk.

American Robins were seen all along the trail.

For both memes the photo above show the fence between the trail and ball field and the sky is looking pretty too.

Another photo for my Skywatch Friday, I took this shot of the moon later that evening. I hope you enjoyed my post and images. Thanks for stopping by and for the nice comments.

Leister Park

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences

This past weekend hubby and I checked out a new walking trail in a new local park..The Leister Park is a new 100 acre park includes the walking trail, a pavalion and athletic fields. The land was sold to the county for half of its worth because the land owner wanted it to be used for green space. Great news for the community and the county. I have some great fence and sky shots from our walk on the new trial, the clouds and sky looked beautiful.

The weather was beautiful for walking, the sky and clouds were lovely.

I will be going back to check out these fields for some different birds.

Skywatching is a simple thing I love to do, it is right up there with my birdwatching. I think this is a perfect sky with the pretty clouds and a lovely blue color..

For Tex's Good Fence entry I have a view of a cow on a neighboring farm next to the park..

A distant view of the farm and cow, and you can just barely make out the fence..

The Eastern Bluebirds are one of my favorite birds, I am always happy to see them. Some fuzzy branch had to get in my way but you can still see the pretty male Bluebird..

The male is in the photo up and this one is the pretty female.. They were hanging out somewhat close to each.

After seeing my last couple of Skywatch shots you must know I loving taking photos of the moon.. Here is a shot fo the crescent moon taken on April 24th.  There were some light clouds floating in front at the time of the shot..

These two moon shots were taken early in the morning before I left for work..
