1. June 18th, here we are again on a walk with Miney to the lake. Miney and I enjoy our walks, listening to the birds and trying to find some for my photos. Below I watched an Osprey take a fish from the lake and fly to a nearby tree. The Canada Geese are a common bird seen at the lake. I also saw a mama deer and fawn across the lake from us.
2. June 19, my walk with Miney on our local fire road. She walks with her nose to the ground, she can quickly grab things off the ground and eat them. I have to lookout for the mushrooms so she doesn't grab them really fast.
3. June 20th, our walk with Miney was on the NCR trail in Parkton Md. We walked past a Black Vulture perched on top of a huge boulder on the side of the trail. It spooked Miney. The Lilies are blooming looking very pretty at this time.
4. June21st, my walk with Miney was along the road some and onto the nearby fire road. Coming back home we saw a deer eating weeds along our driveway and yard.
5. June22nd, another morning walk with Miney. We have to get early in the morning before it gets too hot. My walk with Miney was on the close by fire road, we sat on a log for a rest and listened to the birds and had a little view of the reservoir.
6. June 22nd, one of the birds I heard often on my walk was the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher.
7. June 23rd, another neighborhood walk with Miney on the Prettyboy fire road. The Worm-eating Warbler is heard on all my walks lately. It shows up on the Merlin app as my Bird of the Day.
8. Flashback to May 2017, we were on a Washington State trip. These photos were taken in or around the Nisqually entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. The Elk were seen right off the road that leads to the park entrance.
May 2017, The Stellar Jay was a common bird we saw while visiting Washington State.
May 2017, The Varied Thrush was seen in multiple spot in Washington State.
Hubby Aug 6th update: Dialysis seems to be going as well as can be. Hubby does need to do more exercises to build up his strength and of course he is stubborn when it comes to a diet. He is a night owl and usually naps more during the day. Those days give me more time walking Miney, reading and blogging.
I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Hi Eileen, I absolutely love ❤️ this entire series. I hope you have a great weekend. Thank you 😊 so much for sharing.
Good morning, dear Eileen, another week has passed and we are meeting for Saturday Critters. Lovely pictures followed by the interesting descriptions. I enjoyed walking along.
Good to read that your husband is tolerating the dialysis. I know from experience that it will take some time to get used to the diet. It is a change.
Thank you for sharing and for hosting. Have further fun and a good week. Greetings by Heidrun
Miney is so cute! The walks, nature and lake is so therapeutic! Wishing a healthy and happy life! Hugs. :)

It sounds like you're making the most of your time, and it's great to hear your husband's dialysis is going as well as it can be. Thank you for sharing the beautiful photos!
Luckily you live in a place rich in nature and walking possibilities, so you can enjoy with Miney.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful critters. I am still missing the osprey in my photo album!
Happy weekend and all the best!
Hi Eileen,
This is a beautiful series of photos.
It's wonderful to walk with Miney every day.
I think the blue-gray mosquito catcher is truly amazing.
I also use the Merlin app, but you can't hear the birds anymore.
Every now and then I still hear the green woodpecker.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
Greetings Irma

As always, you bring us such variety and beauty! I am so glad you have this nature (and Miney!) to help support your wellbeing... being in care mode can be draining and no matter how loved and dedicated, we all need that respite! YAM xx
Hi Eileen and thank you again for hosting Saturday Critters. I enjoy taking part. I also enjoyed walking along with you and Miney and seeing a deer, one or many, is always a thrill to me. Have a lovely weekend. Timelesslady (Kathy)
...Eileen, I wish your husband well, i'm a bit stubborn when it comes to a diet too.
I'll just say, my hubby is a terrible patient. I was so happy when he slept after his big surgery!
You have such a terrific bird list.
I've been hearing a black-billed cuckoo and I am not hopeful I'll see it, in the middle of the forest. Hooray for Merlin to tell us who to look for, though.
Such a lovely place to walk. Early mornings are the best time.
Hello, Eileen. Lovely photos and it's great to see Miney growing up. My best wishes to your husband, may he have strength and courage to continue dealing with his health issues. Thanks for hosting, have a good new week!
Love Miney and the deer ~ always great nature photos here ~ Eileen ~ enjoy the weekend ~ hugs,

So good to see Miney and where you've been on your walks with her. And two deer photos plus the wonderful elk! Have a geat weekend. Here has started out cool and cloudy (again.)
That was a very nice nature walk with all those beautiful critters!
Miney is a well loved dog and exercising her is a benefit to you both. Changing diets at our age can be a huge challenge. Hope the dialysis continues to help your hubby to improve.
Miney has been such a good addition to your family, Eileen. She is lucky to get to go on these wonderful walks with you. I hope that your husband will soon be joining you. Keep well.
I kike how the crow photo bombed your photo in number 8.
Thank you for the smile and sweet memory ... of my beagle, Angel Chessie. Always said she walked on "five feet", the hunter in her, with that nose to the ground, like your Miney! Loving walking together with you today, and continuing well wishes for your dear husband (oh so hard to be good about ones diet ...).
That Stellar Jay is a beauty and I love your fawn. I bet Miney picks up a lot of scents too! Hope your husband gains his strength and feels better during this hard time. Hugs to you both, Diane
i always enjoy all of your pictures, but the flashbacks are always the most fun. memories of the past, vacations and seeing birds we do not often see around us here. miney is such a good companion, especially since hubby may not feel up to the walks. i am glad you shared an update, i worked with dialysis patients and it seems it really takes a lot out of them!! i wish him well!! have a great weekend, the weather has been nice, many thanks for hosting!!
It sounds like you’re handling a lot with such grace. I hope the dialysis helps him regain his strength, and I’m glad you still find moments for yourself with Miney, reading, and blogging. Sending you both much love and encouragement. xxx from here, Aritha
Thank you and Miny for hosting us. Look at all the people who love to come here! Aloha
I am glad to hear the dialysis is going well.
The walks with Miney look like they restore the spirit. Take care,
Hi Eileen - I would have been spooked by that Black Vulture too what a sighting! You always get such a wide variety of birds on the Merlin App, I'm so impressed! Good news your hubby is doing as well as can be expected on the dialysis, I expect it is such a change for you too and having more time for reading, walking and blogging is lovely although not in the circumstances that brought it.
Wishing you a lovely week
Wren x

A Varied Thrush is a new one to me. I don't think I have ever seen one. Miney looks like she loves her walks, I wonder what that vulture was doing. Some dead nearby perhaps?
Thank you Jim, for your comment and visit,
I think the vultures had a nest nearby, we went back a second time and three vultures were sitting in the same spot. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
