Welcome to Saturday's Critters! Hello and Happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." John Muir

I am sharing recent back yard birds and critters and some critters seen in various national parks are from my archives.

Click on images for better viewing.

1. The Eastern Blue Bird has always been a favorite of mine, I love to see them visiting my yard.  It would be great to see them using my birdhouses for their nest.

2. Below are two frequent visitors, the White-throated Sparrow and a Gray Squirrel.

3. Blue Jays are another common bird visiting my yard, sorry about the photo quality, it was taken through a kitchen window.

4. From my archives I am sharing some critters from our visits to various national parks. Below are some Elk seen in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

5. Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons are two of my favorite parks.  There were always critters to be seen. Below is a bull moose, seen off the Heron Pond and Swan Lake loop. The moose below was wearing a tracking collar, there was also a female moose and an elk standing nearby.

The Buffalo at Yellowstone were plentiful.  It was nice to see the cute calves.

We watched this Grizzly Bear not far from the Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Tetons National Park.

6. Seen in the Rocky Mountain National Park we watched a mama moose with a calf.

7. Everglades National Park, a great park to see critters and lots of birds.

Near the Flamingo marina, Everglades National Park we saw the Crocodile. It is the only place were the Crocodiles and Alligators coexist. The American Crocodile has a v-shaped snout and the Alligators seen in the photo above have a u-shaped snout.

The Manatees were also seen at the Everglades National Park Flamingo marina area.

8. Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive.  It was always a treat to see a Black Bear during our visits to Shenandoah National Park. The mosaic below and next few photos are all from Shenandoah National Park.

I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday   I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

I hope your nest box attracts a Bluebird. We used to have nesting Bluebirds until the English Sparrows found my yard. Love all the park animal photos you posted. So wonderful that you have been able to visit so many parks. Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

If an Elk is big, wow on the Moose! Hihi, I have some bears, too, today.
Crocs are amazing, too, scary but somehow also fascinating.

Hello Eileen,
This is a great series of photos.
The buffaloes with the calves are so cute.
The black bear is beautiful too, I am glad that we can only see these kinds of animals in a zoo and not just in the wild.

Hi Eileen, Wow, what a great variety of critters! Hard for me to pick a favorite … they are all so good … but I’ll go with the Bull Moose in Yellowstone. By the way, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons are also two of my favorite parks. In my experience visiting YNP, the tourists’ favorite critter to spot is the Bear. Thank you for hosting and sharing Saturday’s Critters! John PS Yesterday was our first full day this winter of snowing in Seattle … but for the most part it was too warm to stick on the roads.

oops sorry Eileen - the link entered as the wrong name, it should be Dolphins, Monkey Mia, Shark Bay.... so sorry! I tried to re-enter, but it wouldn't let me. I don't know if you can change the title.....

always lovely to see your critters. I can't imagine what it must be like seeing a bear or a bison in the wild. We have crocodiles here, but thankfully in the far north of Australia, away from where I live. Not to be messed with. Have a wonderful week and thankyou again for the linkup.

Buffalo are neat creatures. We see them often because there is a tame (domestic) herd that lives on private land near us.

Hello Eileen :)
What a fabulous post with large wild animals that I can only dream of seeing. Beautiful series of photos, and your Eastern Bluebird is one of my favourite N. American birds, I hope it does nest in your yard one year. Eileen you once mentioned that you could do with having a feeder that would screw onto your ledge.
Eva ordered mine from Amazon. I thought To mention it before but as most things these days it sliped my mind. Thank you for hosting Eileen and have a happy weekend.
All the best

Dear, dear Eillen,

I absolutely love your backyard birds and I do hope the Easter Blue Birds nest in your bird house soon.

I've had starlings (mynahs) nest in ours and I am hoping they do again this spring. Have a whole lot of sparrows come and check the bird box this morning, lets see. Fings and toes crossed.

I have one image from our backyard birding this edition as I'm also hoping into the A to Z writing challenge next month. This is a theme reveal post and all about nature.

The other critters look regal as ever. Interesting how crocs and alligators co-exist. I have seen crocs co-exist with Gharials (Gavials- they have a long pointy snout) in India. Gharials are Critically endangered and the few left are only found in India and Pakistan.

Always a pleasure visiting you. Thank you for hosting. :)
