These are one of my favorite birds. It appears that they are wearing a black mask, which really makes them cool looking birds. Their tails look like they have been dipped in bright yellow paint. And for a dash of more color there is some red on their wings. They are fun to watch sweep in and clean off the berries in a matter of minutes. At least it seems that way. The photos are from my collection, some from my backyard and some from parks I have visited.

Great Cedar Waxwing photos. I like them because of how the pastel colors just blend together giving them such a smooth and soft appearance.

Waxwings are one of my favorites. They look so clean and well groomed. They are suckers for fruit trees arn't they.
Eileen, I saw Snow Buntings once in Deleware along the coast. I think it was in Rehobeth. They weren't on the beach but in a parking lot near the beach. Good luck finding them.

I enjoyed your description and photos of the cedar waxwings. I don't think I've seen any, but would know what they were if I did now. They do have beautiful coloring. They almost look like they are blushing.

Nice shots of the Cedar Waxwings Eileen! The last one is my favorite, with the crown standing up. They always look so well dressed, never a feather out of place. I don't know how they do that after eating those sometimes fermented berries ;-)
