Wildlife Reflections

These shots were from one of my birding trips to Bombay Hook, De. On this trip we saw many Egrets and Black Crowned Night Herons.  I alway enjoy the birds reflections and on this day there seem to be bird reflections everywhere we looked. Bombay Hook is one of my favorite wildlife refuges to visit. The birding there is great. It was cool to see so many juvenile Black Crowned Night Herons.

Weekend Reflections

This past weekend at Chincoteague I saw many reflections in the water and various natural pools. One area was my favorite. It was a  spot were the trees and bushes were colorful and made a pretty reflection in the water.

Merganser Reflection

I didn't realize it until after I posted my Merganser momma and chicks that I had a great reflection of the momma. I think it is neat that the momma's crazy do reflects nicely in the water.

Black Necked Stilt reflection

Merry Christmas,  Happy Holidays and a wonderful Happy New Years to everyone!

I visit the Bombay Hook wildlife refuge often and during the summer the Black Necked Stilt can be seen there. They are cool looking birds, their legs seem to be able to bend all kinds of ways.

They like to search for food in the mud flats or can be seen walking in water that is more like puddles.
On this one day I was able to catch the reflection of the Black Necked Stilt.
