Our World, My World

Happy Monday,

I wanted to share some of the blooms we have growing in our yard and a few of the annuals on our deck.  I bought some herbs to grow in pots along with the mint I have growing.  I try to buy annuals that the hummingbird and butterflies love, like the Lantana, Zinnias and the Fuchsia.

"Mother Nature has the best box of crayons."

It was a great year for our Clematis blooms, we have two different species. One I forget the name and the other is called Jackmanii Clematis.

Various annuals are planted in pots for the deck, like the Lantana, Fuchsia and some Zinnias.

This is the Jackmanii Clematis, we have the honeysuckle running wild around the yard.  It is bad when it takes over but smells so good.

"Life is a garden, Dig it."

We were happy to see our Siberian Irises return this year, they are one of my favorite blooms.

The birds like to land on top of the pergola before going to the feeders, I caught this White-breasted Nuthatch getting ready to hop over to the feeder.

The male Cardinal seems to be getting used to me putting out food for the birds, he will now land on the deck while I am out there. I think he wants to be first eating the food.

Thanks for your visit today!  I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.

Around the yard

I am linking up with Todays Flowers and Mosaic Monday and Ruby Tuesday

Even though it is officially fall my flowers are still blooming and looking beautiful. Yesterday I walked around my yard taking some photos of the flowers, birds and the frogs at the pond. We have hads tons of rain here and I guess that helps, even though I am sick of the rain. The flowers are happy, the frogs seem really happy and the birds looked wet. I am still being rewarded with some sweet cherry tomatoes.  I really wanted and needed was some sunshine.

It's been damp, my poor bear has turkey feathers growing. Have you ever seen a bear with feathers? LOL

The winterberries are looking so colorful and my butterfly bushes are still  attracted a pretty Fritillary.

The zinnias and lantana are blooming and my dogwood tree has these colorful red berries.

The American Goldfinch is one of my year round sweeties.

This Catbird should be leaving soon and be replaced with some winter birds.

In my mosaic above I have some of my the Catbirds, my sweet Goldfinches, a few of my pond frogs, a cute chipper and a fussy Titmouse.

The winterberry bush is looking colorful.

I have been really happy with these zinnias, they bloomed all summer long and are still blooming.

Backyard Birds and Blooms

Is it just me or are these weeks just flying by, I am linking up with Mary's Mosaic Monday and Mellow Yellow Monday.  I am lucky to even get on the internet today. Our power went off last night during a scary thunderstorm. Our electric came back on around 10am this morning and I got the internet back around 2pm. I was happy this morning to sit outside and watch my birds and check out all the flowers blooming.

Poppa Bluebird has been hanging around my weeping cherry tree. He looks very hot panting below.

Mooma Blue has been hanging her head out of the box, I think she is tryong to cool off too.

The Stella O'Doro lilies seem to be doing great this year. I have a big group of them growing near my blueberry bushes. I am sure the birds can not wait until the blueberries are ripe.

One of my crazy house wrens, they are very fussy birds.

I am pretty sure these are called Tiger Daylilies.

I hope you enjoy my mosaics and post and to see more great mosiacs and photos please visit Mosaic Monday and Mellow Yellow Monday..  Thanks to Mary for hosting Mosaic Monday and to Drowsey Monkey for hosting the Mellow Yellow meme. Also, thanks of course for stopping by my blog for a visit. I hope everyone has a great week.
