These are some shots of the sunrise from our visit to Atlantic City last Sunday.  I thought the colors were beautiful and I enjoyed watching the gulls flying over and seeing a few Common Loons in the ocean. It was a very peaceful morning and we practically had the beach to ourselves.

The least movement is of importance to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble.

One of my main reasons for the weekend  in New Jersey was to do some birding at the Edwin Forsythe NWR. I will be doing another post on the birds and ducks we saw at the refuge.

But for now the only birds I saw while on the beach were a lots of gulls and a few common loons seen in the orange ocean. They are quick, diving into the water and coming up in totally different area.

In the distance we watched a couple being married on the beach during the sunrise. What a great place for a wedding. On my previous post my video shows some of the bride at the very end of the video.

The clouds were turning pretty colors.

We watched groups of Pelicans flying by. I assume they were all migrating south.

 I really liked the colors in the sky and on the sand in this photo below.

We watched the Willets take off from the shore. It seemed odd that on two mornings the Willets left the beach as soon as the sun had risen.

Skywatch Friday

This picture is from July, the sun was rising as we made our way past the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. No sun today we are having rain all day long.
