Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

Happy May to you all! The days and months are flying by, today is our 34th anniversary. Happy Anniversary to my hubby! We have been home from our trip to Arizona for almost a week. I hope to be sharing trip photos soon. Tomorrow will be a busy day with a baby shower for my daughter-in-law. Baby Sophie is due to arrive July 13th.

1. On this day our walk was on the NCR trail in Parkton. We watched a juvenile Bald Eagle land in a tree over the river.

2. A larger look at the juvenile Bald Eagle, it may be a 2nd year Eagle.

3. The Friendly Farms pond, gazebo and lots of Canada Geese and the Gadwalls were still hanging out at the pond.

4. Below a male and female Gadwall.

5. Below a few of my yard birds, 2 Mourning Doves were sitting on the gutter outside my front window. They are shy and decided to only show their backsides.

6. It seems the Blue Jays sit in the nearby trees and wait for me to come outside with the bird food.  The Jay below is grabbing as many peanut nuggets it can fit in it's beak.

7. April 2nd, the Dark-eyed Juncos a winter bird. They have not left yet. I am still seeing a few in my yard and on the deck looking for the food.

To all that celebrate, Happy Easter!  🐰 🐤🌼 🙏

This is a mish-mash of critters and birds seen during our walks in my backyard, on the local fire roads and on the NCR bike trail.

Outside my front window, the Cardinal and Carolina Wren are taking turns checking out their window reflections.

The Carolina Wren must have thought the Cardinal was silly for banging on the window.

The male Cardinal was watching me inside the house.

I always like checking out the Friendly Farms ponds, on this day we saw a lot of Canada Geese, a pair of Redhead Ducks, Buffleheads, Ring-necked Ducks and possibly Gadwall.

I believe the Gadwall is almost in the center of the photo below. I see the black tail and the rusty edge on the side feathers.

Back in our yard, I was watching two Pileated Woodpeckers flying from tree to tree, pecking away.

The Blue Jays are daily visitors to my yard, they arrive on my deck railing squawking loudly and spooking away all the little birds.

March 3rd, our walk was  on the NCR trail, a beautiful Spring like day and a pretty blue sky.
We met a man walking his two friendly Doodle dogs, the dogs know us now we met them on the trail on a previous walk. The Blue Birds were talking away in a tree top.

"The Bluebird carries the sky on his back."

Not a critter but this is one of my latest puzzle finished. There are a few gulls flying in this canal city scene.

Saturday's Critters #286

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

On the afternoon of the second day of our Finger Lakes NY trip  we drove to the Montezuma Nat'l Wildlife Refuge in Seneca Falls New York.  The wildlife refuge is located near the end of the Cayuga Lake.  We drove the 3.5 wildlife drive, seeing Purple Martins, Great Egrets, Canada Geese, Red-wing Blackbirds, Bald Eagle, Northern Shoveler duck, Pied-billed Grebe, Great Blue Heron, Tern, Gadwall ducks, DC Cormorant, Song Sparrow, Mallards, unknown Sandpiper and lots of turtles.

The Canada Geese were the most common bird seen at the wildlife refuge.

There were a few Great Egrets in different areas of the refuge.

I am guessing at this id, I think they are Gadwall ducks.

We saw a few Great Blue Herons at the wildlife refuge.

I think this is a juvenile Bald Eagle. I do not see the white head.

Another guess at this bird, a Caspian Tern?  I appreciate any corrections on my id guesses.

The Purple Martins were at two bird houses near the visitor center.

The Pied-billed Grebe is a cutie.

I really loved this Bald Eagle sculpture near the end of the wildlife drive. I think it can be seen off of Rt 90.

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !

Saturday's Critters #58

Saturday's Critters #58

It's Saturday and it's time to share your critters.. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party. And of course I always appreciate my blogging friends stopping by just for a visit.

These are some birds we saw last week at the Edwin Forsythe NWR in NJ.. Even though most of the water was frozen we did see some ducks and geese at the wildlife refuge..

A pair of Hooded Mergansers...

I believe these are Dunlins in flight and a couple of American Black Ducks..

A few male Hooded Mergansers along with a couple of female Hooded Mergansers. The females have those crazy "hairdos'. The Mergansers were seen in various spots along the wildlife drive.

I am pretty sure these are the Gadwall ducks..I do not mind if you need to correct any of my id's.. I can honestly say I know I have made id mistakes in the past..

A Northern Pintail is having a talk with the Gadwall ducks..

Above maybe an American Wigeon along with the gang of Gadwall ducks..Except for seeing some duck hunters we enjoyed our visit to the wildlife refuge... I hope you enjoyed your visit and my photos... As always I appreciate your nice comments..

Thanks to Tex Theresa aka Tex, I was able to add this link up button and thanks to  Jennifer for creating my photo badge.

Saturday's Critters #55

Happy weekend everyone and Happy New Year! I am glad to see you sharing your critters.. Any kind of critter will do, even if you have an older post it will do.. I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party. And of course I always appreciate my blogging friends stopping by just for a visit..

Also, I hope you can check out the post at Anni's I'd-Rather-B-Birdin.  You should also check out Misty Dawn's Camera Critters.

These shots are from last weekend's walk at Loch Raven Reservoir..

A mixture of Canada Geese, Ringed-necked Ducks, Gadwall and possibly some other ducks..

Rows of Coots.. I was amazed at how many Coots there were, I could not fit them all in the photo..

This could be a Hairy woodpecker but I am not sure sometimes the angle and distance can throw off the size of the bird. To id you are supposed to look at the beak and head size..

An InLinkz Link-up

I wish everyone a happy & healthy New Year!

Thanks to Tex Theresa aka Tex, I was able to add this link up button and thanks to  Jennifer for creating my photo badge.
