1. The American Goldfinches one of my regular back yard bird visiting the thistle feeder.
2. The Red-bellied Woodpecker, lately I have been watching a family of four of these birds coming and going to my feeder. They love the little peanut suet balls.
A juvenile Red-bellied Woodpecker, one of the family of 4 I have been seeing on my deck.
3. A walk with Miney and hubby on the NCR bike trail in Parkton Md. I like seeing the Bee Balm blooming at the start of our walk. Along the trail we had 3 sightings of deer, luckily Miney only saw one. I think Miney would chase them if she could. I did see one Great Blue Heron, standing in the river it was mostly hidden by some tree branches.
One of the deer we saw off the NCR bike trail.
4. On the drive home from the walk, I had to stop the car and let this group of Canada Geese cross the road.
5. A walk with Miney on the local Prettyboy fire road.
This downed tree was my turn around spot and head home.
6. Back at home after our walk, I captured a male Eastern Bluebird standing on top of one of our birdhouses. I think the couple has started on a new nest.
Some of the flowers on our deck, they attract the hummingbirds and butterflies.

7. Another walk with Miney on the local fire road at Prettyboy.
I hope you enjoyed coming along on my walks and the birds and critters I am sharing today.

1. June 14th, the day starts off with listening to my yard birds from our deck. The Carolina Wren was singing loudly, out performing all other birds.
Hubby, Miney and I took our morning walk on the NCR trail at Bentley Springs.
Merlin App was used on our NCR bike trail walk. Lots of great birds were heard.
The Scarlet Tanager was heard and seen a few times while on our walk at the NCR trail.
The Bee Tree free library was a cute new addition seen off the bike trail, it says seeds and stories below.
2. Sometimes I go out on my deck and listen for the real early morning birds, the time listed below has 6:24am.
On June 5th the Merlin App said my "bird of the day" was the White-breasted Nuthatch. They are a year round bird in my area and a regular visitor to my feeder.
3. The Fritillary Butterflies love the Lantana plant on our deck.
4. My walk with Miney on the local fire road.
5. June 21st was Father's Day, my morning started off with a local walk with Miney at Prettyboy watershed.
6. Our walk to the lake with Hubby and Money, we saw more Slider Turtles and families of Canada Geese. One juvenile Bald Eagle flew by.
Prettyboy Dam and Bridge.

I always enjoy my walks with hubby and Miney out in nature. It is peaceful listening to the birds, looking for wildflowers and critters. There are times we see deer and fox, mostly running away from us. Our walks include the NCR bike trail, our local fire road at Prettyboy Reservoir and my back yard birds and critters.
1. Along side our driveway we have some Clematis blooming.
Hubby, Miney and I took a walk to see the front lake, after having some rain it looks the water level has gone up some but not totally recovered yet. There was a large group of Canada Geese hanging out on the shore and I believe my Merlin App picked up a Killdeer there too.

2. The water level is higher at the reservoir, but the water line when full is up to the trees. The last news I heard the reservoir was 6 feet low.
The Canada Geese below were only a few I saw on this day.
3. Below is a list of my yard birds on my Merlin App, I have been seeing a family of Hairy Woodpeckers visiting my suet feeder.
Below are the Hairy Woodpeckers and the Bluebird inside the house.
4. My yard birds, Merlin App birds and Miney on our walk. Merlin birds announce my bird of the day, on this day it was the Blue Jay.
I hope your enjoyed our walks, the birds and views of the reservoir.
