A few of my yardbirds and some juvies

HAPPY 4TH of JULY,  I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend.

My entry for this weeks Camera Critters are some of my backyard birds and juvies. Click on my link to vist more critters.

It is so much fun to watch the juvies interact with their parents.

Chipping Sparrow and juvie. The juvie was too excited about being fed it couldn't stay still.

Momma Redbellied Woodie, you can see the juvie on my post below. You can see the difference on the female's head the red stops and does not go all the way to the beak like the males redhead.

Carolina chickadees seem to be all over the yard. I assume that their nesting was successful and there are plenty of juvies. They were using two of my birdhouses.

Wood Pewee is not a  feeder visitor, this one stopped by and sat in my weeping cherry tree. I do hear them in the woods next to my house.

Not sure if this is a male or female juvie Cardinal, I am guessing it is a male. The Cardinals seem to be plentiful in my yard. I am always seeing males chasing other males away.
Tufted Titmouse juvie, mouth open waiting for food. The Tufted Titmouse is one of my year round birds.

I believe these are both juvenile Titmouse, they are fun to watch chasing each other around the trees and yard.

Yes, the young birds are great fun, although they can seem like all they really are is one great, squawking, gaping, hungry mouth!

Happy Critturday,

Hey Eileen your garden birds seem to be at the same stage as over here, all noise and empty bellies with the adults desperately trying to fill them up. A bit like home too?

Eileen,

Such a wonderful display of birds you have in your yard! We have been experiencing an Arcadian Flycatcher the past week calling and chasing things about. We get them in the spring but I never recall them during summer here.

Great photos of the birds at your backyard. They are such a delight to see them everyday. I love the cute baby birds. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos.

Have a great day always.

Geee! Would love to scoop them all! How adorable!

I've really enjoyed reading and studying the photographs. We are too far north for cardinals, so it's always a pleasure to see them. One year one male showed up in the next village and it's all you heard about everywhere you went!

You are so lucky to have little chippies. I have seen two sets of chippy parents raising cowbirds and only one with a chippy... the two birds at the end do look like titmice. It is such a fun time of year isn't it?...Michelle

Your backyard is an interesting place. Birds and other wildlife truly make life more interesting, and this is an especially exciting time of year when the young are showing up more and more.

I like that you photograph birds, it requires a great deal of patience to take a good photo?

The Wood Pewee looks very cute!

Have a great Sunday!

All of the juvenile birds are so adorable. The little Chipping Sparrow is so fuzzy and cute but I imagine mama has to work hard to keep that little mouth full.

Great shots of the Red-bellied juvie in the post below.

Those birds are so pretty, you have captured them well. I also saw your post before this one, the birds on there are lovely too.
I wish we had more colourful ones around here.

Thank you for your visit and comments on my blog. I hope this comment gets through, blogger is having problems today with the comments. :(

You have a lot of the same birds in your yard as I do!

I think the third photo is a black-capped chickadee or a carolina chickadee.

Such wonderful captures. I love seeing yardbirds.

:), the chick looks bigger then the parent. They are fluffier. Great photo.

Definitely a juvenile male cardinal (trust me.) Nice to see the young chipping sparrow. They migrate down to my house for Winter, so I never get to see chicks. Thanks for that!
