Last Thrusday and Friday hubby and I took a quick trip to the Delaware shores for some relaxation and birding of course. Thursday we enjoyed a pretty sunset on the bayside of Dewey Beach, Delaware. Whibackyard sunset, Bay, birding, Buffleheads,le enjoying the sunset we watched a few Red-Breasted Mergansers and a group of Bufflehead ducks.

Walking up to the water we spooked these three Red-Breasted Mergansers.
Further out a larger group of Bufflehead ducks. I can make out the white dots on their heads.
Looks like the Mergansers were sailing away into the sunset.
We were happy to watch this pretty sky and beautiful reflection on the water.

I love the sky/water shots. Beautiful, Eileen. I was lucky enough to see buffleheads and common mergansers last weekend but not the red-breasted mergansers. Lucky you!

Those shots looks a bit like Falsterbo that I visited 3 months ago. Hm, times runs fast, doesn´t it?
Re our winter. It differs a lot. You can never be sure what winters we will have. This seem to be a green winter. Last winter we had 5 months of snow. And I got seriously tired of shooting nothing but snow. :(

...loving the scenery; that setting so beautiful. Can just imagine sitting there and soaking that view up and watching the ducks and colours in the sky. Perfect place for some photography in the best seat in the house. Happy New Year back :)
