It is time for my favorites memes Skywatch Friday and NF Winged. Over the last couple of days I took some shots of the skies above my yard and a few birds from my local walk on the fireroad for NF Winged.
Our skies lately have ranged from blue to all gray. One early morning started out looking like this.
And by the time I walked up the fireroad
I looked up at these Eastern bluebirds in the tree, there was nothing but gray skies for a background. I thought Goldie Girl and I were going to be rained on so I decided to turn around and walk home rather than go further up to the clear cut area.
And here when I looked up again at the same tree I saw some American Robins. At first the rusty colored breast kind of fooled me. But, the Robins are much bigger birds than the bluebirds.
I did see some pretty colors along the fireroad.
I hope you enjoyed my walk and skies, I hope the sky is pretty where you are.

Please have a good Friday.

I did enjoy this walk:) I love your blue fluffy cloud sky....one could almost pounce on that cotten:) Bluebirds....it will be nice to see them again when the weather here gets a tad cooler. I like the area around your place for those walks. You are in bird paradise:)
The sky and the fall colours are beautiful! Love the bird shots too. Our morning skies look exactly like the one in your first photo.
Have a lovely weekend!:)
I like the way you framed the birds. That picture will make a beautiful card.
What lovely shots - and a wonderful sky of fluffy clouds!
Beautiful shots Eileen!
Beautiful photo series showing .... really like the last 2 pictures.
The weather here at present is gray not much light, not the best photo weather.
Wish you a good weekend :)

I enjoyed the walk and images, Eileen. I have never even heard of an American Robin so thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. Jo
Another lovely post Eileen. I enjoyed my walk with you. Have a great weekend!
No matter what the skies, great pictures come from you.
This time of the year the skies are changing from bright blue, to billowy clouds, to gray, to so wet no photos can be taken. At least in Michigan it has been that way for the past week!
Dearest Eileen,
I loved all of the pictures, beautiful clouds, the Autumn path, trees and of course birds♬♬♬
I found the little bird in my humble garden today, but it flew away before I got the camera(^^;)
Lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
That was a nice walk. I love the fall colors.

Beautiful clouds and i love the colors of autumn.
These are such tranquil photos. I love the puffer clouds, the beguiling country lane (which sounds so much more Thoreau than "fire road," lol) and its lovely fall colors, and the sweet birds against the soft grey sky. Very Zen! :-)
it is hard to take shots when the birds arein the treetop like that. :( Thanks for joining. :)
Yes I enjoy your walk very much. Very nice environment where you are.
Thanks for commenting on my blog and I wish you a nice weekend!

Fabulous fall shots Eileen. Happy SWF!
lovely sky in the first photo - we've had some very pretty skies recently,
Lovely photos of the bluebirds...
teh bluebirds look really nice. On bare trees. And then you found trees with autumn leavs on? Remarkable.
It is new years day so I hope you had a great New Years Eve.
We don't have bluebirds in P.R., but they look very fascinating.
