Hello, happy Thursday everyone!
I am sharing some more of my Washington State photos. On this day we stopped at the Fort Casey State Park to see the Admiralty Lighthouse. The lighthouse was cute, it seemed almost like a miniature home to me. It is also where I saw my lifer the California Quail. We also saw a few Golden-crowned Sparrows and a Spotted Towhee, lots of bunnies and a few deer.
The California Quail were camera shy so I had to stay a good distance so I would not spook them. Sorry for the photo quality.
You can just make out the Golden Crown on this Sparrows head.
The Spotted Towhee looks like a colorful bird.

Some deer were walking around the park.
The bunnies were everywhere we walked in the park.
A view of the coastline from the top of the cliff.
After this park visit we headed to the Coupeville-Port Angeles ferry. I will post more on that part of the trip another time. The weather was not the greatest for our ferry ride on this day but the rain held off.
My thankful list for today:
I am thankful for the rain it is necessary, but I am also thankful for clear sunny days.
I am thankful for all the beautiful places to visit in the great USA.

Oh, I just love that lighthouse. I could live there! I have stayed overnight in a lighthouse in Rhode Island called Rose Island Lighthouse. It was a wonderful experience. If you get a chance look it up and check it out. Hubby surprised me with the overnight because he knows I love lighthouses.

I love the new banner. All of my favorite things. Washington looks so beautiful. We have never been there, but I have heard so much about it's beauty. We used to see the spotted towhee here; now I know where they go as they migrate through. Wonderful post.

Good morning Eileen and yes happy Thursday, it's actually not raining and the sun is in full bloom! Yes! I have to say this lighthouse like pretty much everyone I ever see is beautiful. A good thing as many secluded and they the people working it did for a good number of years! Our Split Rock in Minnesota was usually in the worst of storms summer and winter! Brave hard working souls.

That's a really beautiful little lighthouse! We commonly see quail out in our Mojave desert, but not sure if it's California or Gambel's Quail.

Hello Eileen!:) The view from the lighthouse must be fabulous,..the whole building is very attractive, more like a house, than a lighthouse. The Spotted Towhee is such a pretty bird, and you had great sightings of all the different critters. When Hubby and I were in Washington State many years ago, I wasn't into photography then, more's the pity!

I really love the old lighthouse. I guess they weren't much into seeing the scenery outside while indoors back then.
