These are skies over my yard this week. I thought the contrails were cool looking, kind of like X marks the spot over my yard. I enjoy seeing my Goldfinches year round.

Sweet faced Goldfinches are steady visitors at our feeders as well. Seldom greedy, usual feed with one another.

The contrails have been a familiar sight around here too -- I suppose due to all of the Christmas travel.

My favourite shot is the last one, with the contrails catching the setting sun!! Just gorgeous! I like seeing all the vultures, too!! And goldfinches are so sweet!!
Super photos, loved the x marks the spot one, and the goldfinches are so cute. I haven't had any my way lately, but plenty of Grey-slated Juncos.

Such cute birds! I have been seeing a lot of birds out here lately. Red headed woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays, and some others I don't know! It has been fun to watch them. Yesterday a little one came up right outside my back door and I got a good look at it.
