Heads up April 22nd is Earth Day, we can help by participating in activities such as planting trees, cleaning up your neighborhood, reduce your use of plastics.
1. Some of my back yard critters, the Peacock likes to sit on top of our wood pile.
I think I bought this moose 30 years ago, it is made of heavy iron. After a trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone I decided Moose were one of my many favorite critters. I had to have a moose in my back yard.
2. At this time our weather was beautiful for taking our walks with Miney. On this day hubby and I took our walk on the NCR bike trail in Parkton Md. I heard and saw my FOY Eastern Phoebe.
The Eastern Phoebe has a call that sounds like fee-bee. It almost sounds like it is saying it's own name and feed-me, lol.
Miney checking out the NCR trail, looking for people, dogs and deer.
"The wildlife and it's habitat cannot speak, so we must and we will."
3. Below on this day it was just me and Miney taking the walk. Hubby is tired on the days he has dialysis. Below are views of the Prettyboy Reservoir, it is really low, parts of the lake look more like a stream.
4. An early morning walk with just me and Miney, our walk on the local fire road at Prettyboy Watershed.
"Nature is not a place to visit, it is home."
Two birds below were heard on my walk with Miney, the Eastern Bluebird was one I heard often.
The Pine Warbler is a breeder in the Prettyboy Watershed, I've been hearing these birds calling a lot while I was on my walk. The photo below is one of my archive images, the Pine Warbler used to visit my feeders. The male is a beautiful bright yellow color.

Good morning, dear Blogfriend Eileen! Happy, to see again Minnie with your walk. Wonderful birds, especially the yellow one at least.
Have a wonderful week ahead.

That's a wonderful photo of the peacock and the little birds are so cute. Love the idea of the little Pheobe bird can say its own name. Have a great weekend!

Hello Eileen,

I feel this sounds very odd, rightly odd, or oddly wrong?
Sorry, I thought I am in Wonderland.
I like your moose! Have a great week and thanks for hosting Critters1
Hello Eileen,
This is a beautiful series of photos and collages.
It is lovely to go for a walk with Miney.
Photo 9 is my favorite this time.
I wish you a very nice weekend.
All the best, Irma
Oh, Eileen, the birds look so fluffy, especially the last one!
And Miney´s gear looks interesting.
I wanted a cat when I was four - I got a German Shepherd instead as my Mom didn´t like cats. I was 4! My parents gave her (we named her Inka) a prong collar and sent me off with her. I hear you scream... But I was a tiny by then 5-year-old and did not harm her, that thing was of no use with me. I think these days those collars are forbidden, thankfully...
As said, no harm done and Miney´s looks much better - have a great Saturday.
