"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." John Muir

My mish mash post of photos, includes my local walks with Miney and Hubby.  I would appreciate prayers for my hubby he has to have a heart catheterization procedure on Wednesday to check for bad heart valves. He may need surgery to replace a valve. This problem was found from all the tests that the Kidney transplant team ordered.

Click on images for better viewing.

1. My walk with Miney on the local Prettyboy fire road. We have been seeing lots of mushrooms and fungi on and off the trail.

2. My backyard Buddleia butterfly bushes attracted lots of butterflies this season. The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and the Fritillary butterflies were the most common butterflies I was seeing.

3. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and a Fritillary Butterfly.

4. On my walk around the dialysis center/hospital parking lot I was seeing groups of Canada Geese flying over.

5. My walk to the lake with Miney, the lake is looking more like a stream, the grasses are growing taller now. I did see a group of White-tailed deer running on the grasses.

My Merlin App birds for my walk to the lake.

6. A larger photo of the deer, they were a distance away but it seemed like they were looking back at me and Miney.

7. Sept 10th, this is the time the warblers are on the move, heading south for the winter.  I usually see some warblers in yard eating the berries of the the Aralia spinosa bushes. This is a Black-throated Green Warbler I was able to see outside my bathroom window.

8. Sept 10th, I am still seeing some of my Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at the feeders. This one is sharing the feeder with a bumble bee.

I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday   I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Hi Eileen! It has been a while since I last visited the blogosphere, but I am so glad to be back and reading your beautiful posts. Your photos are always a breath of fresh air—the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and those deer in the distance are simply stunning! More importantly, please know that I am keeping your dear hubby in my thoughts and prayers for his upcoming procedure on Wednesday. Sending you both so much strength, love, and wishes for a smooth and successful outcome. Take care of yourself too, my friend!

Hello Eileen,
There are so many wonderful butterflies visiting your garden. Your butterfly bush must be a real magnet for them!
The photos you’ve shared from your outings with Miney are beautiful—especially the ones by the river.

I love all your butterflies. Not happy with your lake drying up but that happens when it dries up. It is happening here in Oklahoma. I always love to see deer and photos of deer.
Thank you for hosting and have a great weekend!!

Walking with Miney, I'm amazed you can get photos of critters...so glad you have your bird sounds to capture some of the critters. Most dogs keep that leash moving and make it hard for picture taking. But then you've got the wonderful critters right outside your home...loved the butterflies and hummer...sharing nectar with a bumble gal even! That's priceless. Thanks for hosting this fun party.

The deer are definitely watching you but they are more concerned about the deer behind you. Yes, there are deer behind you.

I love seeing the Hummingbird, Eileen. My thoughts and prayers go out to our husband. Hope all goes well for him this week. Hugs.

Cool pics, and we've been seeing mushrooms and wood ears, etc., everywhere.
A Norther Flicker landed on the flat roof next to my office window, and I watched it drink water from the gutter.
