Around the yard_Sept 30

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences  and NF Winged

I wanted to share the pretty hibiscus plant on our deck, some of our yard birds, the sky during our walk to the lake and the sunset.  These images are from the past week up to yesterday.. I was  finally happy to see some fall birds moving thru our yard and neighborhood..

For Tex's Good Fence's I am hoping my deck railing will count as a fence, at least it keeps us from falling of the deck.. My hubby's pride and joy the Hibiscus plant. He has been babying this plant for three years now.. It comes into the house as soon the the temperatures go too low..

For NF Winged....here are some of my yard birds the last week and half.. A Cape May Warbler, Titmouse, Cardinal, Red-eyed Vireo, Possible Eastern Wood PeWee and a White-breasted Nuthatch.

For Skywatch Friday...the sky during our walk to the lake this weekend.. While hubby and I were enjoying the view of the lake, we heard this loud splash into the water and off flies this Osprey.. A great bird for the neighborhood.

For Tex's Good Fence's I have the neighbors gate and fence, their driveway runs along side of the fireroad where we take our walks to the lake..Some ferns and berries along the fireroad.

The sunset one evening this past week.  I love the colorful skies..

The orange sky in the mosaic above turned this pretty pink a little later. I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.. It was a good week and weekend..

I hope you enjoyed my post and photos
To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday

Thanks to Tex @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday also thanks to Monica of NF Winged!   I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

  20. GORGEOUS hibiscus! I have two and they each put out a blossom every week or so, never at the same time. :-) They were a little stressed by the intense heat but are doing well now with our 90s temps...it will soon be in the 80s. They just got a little dry over the summer. Beautiful photos of the birds in your yard, and great fence for Theresa's meme. All beautiful shots!

  28. You have some great yard birds. Love the hibiscus. One of our friends in Dallas kept one going for over ten years. It was a tree, yet he brought it inside his parlor every winter. Then we had an ice storm and lost electricity for several days in mid-winter. The cold killed his hibiscus and we felt very sad as we knew how he cherished it.

  29. A beautiful hibiscus, and gorgeous skies! I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of autumn birds, you have a lot!

  31. It was a great week and weekend and thank you for sharing it with us. Amazing skies. I still can't get over the hibiscus in Florida -- I really always thought of them as a greenhouse plant (tho of course we did see them in the Caribbean .. but I hadn't at first thought of Florida as being subtropical as well). You guys are doing very well to keep this one going!

  32. You're really seeing a nice variety of birds and some we never see here. We have a hibiscus that is blooming right now but the blooms droop down and you have to get down low and point up into them to take a photo. Isn't that odd that they are so different? Of course here in Florida...ours will stay in the ground year round. Hugs!

  46. Your hibiscus is stunning! I love to see all the bird photos, the little warbler is so cute. Your birds are quite different from ours - we don't have red cardinals here which is really sad since I like them so much. Our titmouse is different, too. They are chatty little guys and made my garden their home.
