Around the yard Part 3

My favorite time of the week...Yea!! Friday is here. Also time for Green Day and Camera Critters and I'd-Rather-B-Birdin

Today I am posting some more scenes from around my yard.  My backyard birds are always around for some photo opportunities. I took a shot showing that most of the trees across from my driveway are all still green, only a few have some Autumn colors.  On my deck I have some Salvia trying to hold on, the hummingbird just loves this plant and I have a couple of blooms on my hibiscus plant. The purple stems and berries on the Pokeberry bush look pretty while the birds pose for me.

Only a few of the trees have some color. It is still mostly green around my neighborhood.

This Tennessee Warbler seems to like this Maryland backyard. I am sure there is some official date when it is suppose to leave and head south. But, right now I happy that it likes my yard.

This Salvia plant is still trying to hang on, luckily for the hummingbird that was still around my yard.

I love this hibiscus plant, the blooms are a pretty color.

I have lots of the Tufted Titmouse like the shot above in my yard, they are cuties.

Another shot of my Tennessee Warbler enjoying the pokeberries. And I have a lot of pokeberries for the warbler to eat. It blends in well with the color of the yellowish and green leaves.

The Titmouse likes to pick apart the sunflower seed while perched on my Weeping Cherry tree.

I hope you enjoyed going on another walk around my yard and deck.

Birds & Blooms

I am linking up my Birds & Bloom post to Today's Flowers and   Mosaic Monday   and Our World Tuesday

These are some of the current blooms I have in my yard this week. I have been enjoying the hummingbirds and will miss them when they migrate south. My male hummer has already left and I am seeing the female and the juveniles.

Above Crepe Myrtle, impatiens, Ruby-throated hummingbird, American Goldfinch and the hibiscus.

The female has taken over the duties of being the guardian of my hummingbird feeders. She is chasing away some of the other hummers that enter her domain.

My Goldfinches still have their bright yellow colors, they are one of my year round birds.

The impatiens are looking beautiful and was a good choice of an annual for our garden.

The Gray Catbirds are a summer visitor to my yard and a breeding bird in Maryland. They also should be heading south soon.

Above morning glories, Gray Catbird,  butterfly bush, hibiscus and a White-breasted Nuthatch

The butterfly bushes have been beautiful this season. Attracting many different species of butterflies to my yard.

The Crepe Myrtle is really growing tall and has pretty pink blossoms.

More birds and blooms

Amazing how fast the weeks fly by,  linking up with The Bird D'pot and  Mosaic Monday  and Our World Tuesday

I spent more of my weekend around home so I have some more shots of my yard birds and flowers that are in bloom right now.

Above the Gray Catbird are regulars visitors in my yard, above I saw a few juvie Catbirds at the blueberry bushes. I love the hibiscus plant I have in a pot on my deck. The blooms are beautiful.

Gorgeous blooms on the hibiscus plant.

Above the Bluejay is another regular visitor, along with the Redbellied Woodpeckers. In my front yard I have some of Maryland's state flower blooming the Black-eyed Susan and bottom right is a cute birdhouse that the House Wren used for its nest.

I believe this is the Eastern Black Swallowtail above, I am not sure why but this year does not seem to be a good year for butterflies in my yard.

The Black-eyed Susans are the state flower of Maryland. I have a small group growing in my front yard. I am hoping that next year they become thicker and spread.

Backyard Birds and Blooms

I can not believe how fast the weeks are rolling around. Time for linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday

I wish everyone in the US a very HAPPY 4th of July. And to my Canada friends a very Happy Canada Day!

We have some beautiful plants growing in our yard thanks to my hubby's green thumb. A big part of my world is the birds I love and watching my backyard birds. My mosiacs show both the lovely flowers in my yard and my backyard birds.

In this mosaic I have top left a House Wren at the birdhouse, hibiscus, chipmunk, Mockingbird and more of the hibiscus on my deck.

I love to have a big hisbiscus plant on my deck, hubby planted this one and it seem to be blooming beautifully.

The Hummingbirds are sweet to have around, the male is always zoom zooming around the feeders.

Above are my favorite Purple Coneflowers, Hummingbird at the feeder, one of the many Chipping Sparrows I have in my yard, daylily, coneflower.

I love the Purple Coneflowers, one of my favorite summer plants.

This Mockingbird posed nicely for me on the weeping cherry tree. Now it is time to see what is happening in your world.
