Bombay Hook Skies

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences

I am sharing some more images from our Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware.. I have some sky shots for my Skywatch Friday post and some fences for Tex's Good Fence meme.. I can not go anywhere without looking for fences now..And it is an added bonus if a bird is perched on the fence..

I like this Snowy Egret shot perched on a small bit of fence with the diamonds sparkling behind the egret..

A couple of Snowy Egrets perched on a Bombay Hook fence, they were busy preening..

While we were on the wildlife drive I noticed a large flock of Snow Geese..The photo is a pretty sky shot.

A closer look at the Snow Geese..

The boardwalk trail at Bombay Hook, looking back at the sky and some pretty Autumn trees.

Another sunset capture over one of the Bombay Hooks freshwater pools..  I hope you enjoyed my post and photos. I am looking forward to seeing your skies and some great fence shots..

As always I thank you in advance for stopping by and for the nice comments. Sorry, I am not able to send thank you emails for your comments, working full time and blogging takes up a lot of time lately.

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday
and check more fence shots at Tex's Good Fences

Thanks to Tex @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.   I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

Stunning sunset too. It is so peaceful looking it makes me just want to sit there with a sundowner until the sky is pitch black.

So gorgeous.

I think it's impossible to get a bad shot of a Snowy Egret. I wish I saw them more often down this way, but Great Egrets are gorgeous too.

You know I love clouds.

Absolutely an amazing shot Eileen, of this Egret on the fence post with sparkling in behind. I almost don't head out looking for fence or wildlife, just images to attract you to visit me. Ha ha ha, I think I could come close with sunset but not wildlife, enjoyed

Great photos, Eileen,
The egrets and sunset are absolutely fabulous.

Andrea @ From The Sol said...

Your first Egret is quite the acrobat ... I can't imagine being able to balance myself on one foot atop a small fence post ... it would be a disaster, I guarantee it :)

As for the rest of the pictures, they are perfect and this is surely a beautiful spot to visit. I did, indeed, enjoy your post.

So beautiful. It is amazing how the different memes make us see things we didn't notice before. I don't exactly LOOK for fences, but I see them more often. Also critters, also sky ... etc.

(And I am in awe that you can work full time and blog as beautifully as you do. In awe and more than grateful!)
