Saturday's Critters #200

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

If you love critters like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

Wow, this is my 200th Critter party post. Sorry, I do not have anything exciting planned for this 200th post. I do want to thank all my blogger friends for participating. I love seeing all your critters and I hope you keep those critter posts coming.  Again, I thank everyone for sharing your post and linking up and commenting! I hope you get a chance to visit the blog post and comment.

I am sharing some images from a day trip to Shenandoah Nat'l park. We saw a lot of deer along the Skyline Drive and lots of birds. We hiked on a few trails and enjoyed our lunch at the Big Meadows campstore.

This buck was standing along side the Skyline Drive. It was too busy eating to move away.

I am joining in with this post to Tom's The Barn Collective

I was able to zoom in on this farm and barns from the Appalachian Trail.

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments! I hope you enjoy my post and photos too!

  14. Hi Eileen: sorry not to have checked in too frequently recently but I am away birding in Croatia and Slovenia, often with intermittent Internet connection and we usually only get back to our accommodation late. I will be back home home in Canada at the end of next week after what has been a fabulous experience.

  19. Wow Eileen, 200 posts, that's fantastic. I love your nature photos. If you live near the Appalachian Trail then we are connected, sort of, because I live near the northern portion and if we were able we could each start walking toward each other and meet in the middle somewhere. LOL Unfortunately I know I'm not in THAT GREAT of shape. A fun thought for the day though. Have a great one!

  55. Congrats on your 200th critter party Eileen. I always look forward to your party and appreciate you hosting it. I recently camped in Big Meadow Campground in Shenandoah for three nights. The deer wandered through the campground all evening and probably throughout the night. It was my first trip to Shenandoah and we really enjoyed it. It was so beautiful to drive on Skyline Drive and enjoy looking at the valley.

  56. Shenandoah Nat'l park is a great place, Eileen. I love your beautiful photos, especially the deer and the sparrow! Kisses, my friend.

  58. Congrats on critter party #200! A big milestone!

  59. It seems funny. I see more deer in town than I do out in the backcountry. You can find them frequently grazing at the hospital, at the airport (we have to make sure every gate is closed), in people's front yards, and local parks. - Margy

  60. Nice deer.

Although it may be too late, I have some Australian critters organised for later in the week.

I'll see if I can link up.

  78. Goodness what a lovely group of captures, quite the views too. Your first photo at first I thought is that a castle in the center, the formation appeared possibly. It should be, imagine how lovely that would be.

  79. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Shenandoah Skyline Dr.
We started off on the Blue Ridge Parkway out of Cherokee and drove the whole way up through the Skyline Dr. this summer in June!!!
The wild azaleas were in full bloom and the Mountain Laurel.
A very nice, long drive!!! Enjoyed it --- but didn't see any animals.
I kept looking for bear - nothing!!
