Around the Yard_ June 12

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences

I am sharing some of my pretty Clematis growing on our fence for this week's Good Fences, a sunrise and some moon shots for Skywatch Friday. All these photos are from this past week and all around my yard.

A sunrise seen on my way to work, this is not far from our place.

The clematis is growing on the fence, we have a smaller area fenced in by the deck so Goldie Girl is safe and does not roam around the neighborhood and woods.

I love the clematis and it is a great vine to hide grow on this chained link fence.. The chained link is not my favorite but it works for our Goldie Girl.. We also have some morning glory vines growing on the fence in the summer.

I can not miss a post with out including one of my pretties, here is a male Northern Cardinal in our weeping cherry tree.

The moon shot is taken on 6/7/14

One of Hubby's shots down by the lake, a pretty reflection of the sunset.

The almost full moon, this shot was taken on 6/10/14.  I have had a few people ask me about my moon shots. They are straight out of my camera and hand held.. I am using the Canon SX40HS, 12 megapixel and has a super zoom of 35X optical range with image stabilization. I like this camera so much I bought a spare. ( I have a tendency to trip a lot ) My previous cameras were the Canon SX10, Canon SX20 and I love the Canon SX40.

I hope you enjoyed my post..

Thanks to Tex @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday!   I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

  3. Great shots--you must go to work pretty early in the day. I'm always up to see the sunrises--but not really "functionable"--LOL! I'm only capable of drinking coffee and answering emails at that time.

Love the clematis--I just bought one but haven't gotten it planted yet. Can't decide where to put it just yet.
    Have a good day, Eileen

  14. Oh wow, Eileen, you are up and about early. Like that! An early bird (human) is rewarded accordingly! Love the sunrise and the clematis. Yes, keep gorgeous dear Goldie Girl safe. That's my top priority here in EA: our kitties' safety! I also loved the vibrant splash of color (red) in the Cardinal. What a treat to have that visitor in your garden. Interesting take on cameras (pun intended, lol!) I have migrated towards the Canon Powershot:am now on my third in four years: SX50HS. Hope you're having a really great day. Greetings, Jo
