Wishing all a Happy Easter and weekend!
Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.
More from the Circle B Reserve. The Barred Owls were seen during most visits, right near the parking lot. Some visits we saw one owl, maybe two Barred Owls together and even three owls seen close together on one day. Can you find both Barred Owls in the photo below?
The Black-bellied Whistling Ducks always a favorite sighting.
A Snail Kite
The American Bittern was usually easy to find.
The turtles come out in the sunshine.
Green Heron
The Black Crowned Night Heron.
I always enjoy seeing the Cattle Egrets.
A pretty Great Blue heron pose.

DeleteGood morning Eileen, a most happy Saturday to you and may your Easter be filled with love and happiness. You sure brightened my (rainy, bit gloomy outside) morning which promises to be gone by tomorrow, yeah for that. I changed my usual critter post in honor of Easter, and eggs and the bunny such, and mention to Sepia Saturday that I used to post each Saturday. Enjoy your weekend and your lovely critters, especially the owl (great captures, you have a talent for that) Enjoy!

Hello Carol, Thank you so much for the comment and visit. Happy Easter to you and your family! Enjoy your Sunday and new week ahead!
DeleteHi Eileen. Those Barred Owls reeally do merge into their background don't they? Your comment about the bittern being usyally easy to find made me smile. Our own European Bittern is just the opposite - very, very hard to find. Loved that picture of the turtles covered in algae. Loved all your pictures today. Have a great day and may all of your eggs be large ones.
ReplyDeleteHello Phil, I am not sure if the Bitterns at this place were creatures of habit or what. There were several seen in the same spots every time we visited. Same with the owls, they had there favorite perches. Thank you for the comment and visit. Happy Easter to you and your family! Enjoy your Sunday and new week ahead!

Your birds are gorgeous, absolutely brilliant. They are all truly wonderful, however the final one of the Great Blue Heron, could easily be a painting, I love it. Barred Owls are one of my favorite birds and it is so neat that you were close enough to see this beautiful species like this. Hugs and a Happy week for you. Thank you for all that you do~
ReplyDeleteI tried to see a Black-crowned Heron earlier this spring, with no luck! They look cool! We have loads of Yellow-crowned Night Herons around here! I also went on a walk to see a Barred Owl, but... again, no luck! It surely is a matter of being there at the right time! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
