I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
Hubby and I took off last week for a week's vacation in Colorado.. We visited both the west and east side of the Rocky Mountain National Park.. Our first night was at Granby, Colorado.. Granby is located on the west side of the park.. I wanted to start there to see the moose that are sighted on that side of the national park..
A shot of the almost full September moon over Lake Granby. White Pelicans, Elk, picnic area in Rocky Mountain National Park, wildflowers.
The moon over Granby Lake.
White Pelicans were seen in a small pond next to our hotel in Granby.
A larger shot of the White Pelicans..seen in a little pond next to our hotel in Granby.
We were excited to see the female cow with her calf.. We saw the moose in three different areas..
A cute moose calf.
I believe the bird is a Lincoln's Sparrow but I am not an expert on sparrows.. some scenes from our walks on the west side of the park.
I hope you enjoyed my post and photos on our first day in the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. I have lots of photos from our Colorado trip.. I hope you will enjoy seeing some memories of our trip.
As always I thank you in advance for stopping by and for the nice comments.
I hope you can join in on our at Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
Thanks to Judith our new host of Mosaic Monday and to the hosting group of Our World Tuesday: Arija, Gattina, Lady Fi, Sylvia, Sandy and Jennifer. I wish everyone a happy week ahead!

Awesome Moose shots and moon shots!
On my bucket list - COLORADO!! Also to see a moose. We went to Canada several years ago and saw moose tracks, moose hair on branches of trees and lots of moose dong - BUT NO MOOSE :-////
One day. . . . .

I love that sweet bird shot at the end.

I think of pelicans being in tropical areas. Your moon shots are fabulous. It was a beautiful moon this month.
Hi Eileen, your photos bring back sweet memories of our trips to Estes Park and RMNP - surely one of the most beautiful places on earth! Loved your pelican and moose photos!
I too thought pelicans were only a tropical bird. The moose are an exciting capture and you managed good shots of that big shining moon this month.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Eileen.
Moon over Granby, lovely, my favourite, one wee sparrow perched up high, great series, what a wonderful place to visit and stay.Cheers,Jean

Ah, love the moon over the water :)
Hi Eileen!! Your photos are truly stunning and show the best of the Colorado wildlife--How beautiful! Moose are my favorite and have been since we lived in Alaska.
Hope you are doing well!!
Absolutely fabulous mosaics Eileen especially that sky with the moon...what a restful, peaceful vacation or at least it looks that way in your pictures.
Beautiful shots from your trip. Love the moose.
Glad you and hubby were able to get away for several days. There are so many areas in CO where I want to go.. We've been there twice --but there's still so many places to see. I want to go up on Mt. Evans sometime. My favorite part of the RMNP was the Old Fall River Road and the hike back in the Wild Basin Trailhead (waterfalls)...
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh I love RMNP! I'm so glad you got t visit; wonderful Moose sightings. And the marvelous scenery.
Thank you for visiting the Garden Spot. I enjoyed reading about your Colorado vacation and seeing your wonderful photos. I am not sure just how Far East you travelled down out of the Mountains, but we are not much further east. Did you see any elk in the park? They will soon be bugling and sparing with each other. A great show. Hope to see you again.
Hi Eileen, i have never been to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Love that Moose! I have seen a Moose when I was a child in Yellowstone and also briefly and through bushes in Alaska when on a train. Have a pleasant coming week!
