I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
For this week's post I am sharing some scenes from last weekend's walk at the Hashawha Nature Center.. It is a local park with some great trails and usually lots of birds to see. I believe someone ask me in a previous Hashawha post what was the meaning of the name.. Hashawha is a Native American term meaning "old fields". Hashawha is a participant in Program Open Space, Maryland Acres for Wildlife and is a registered tree farm. A restored wetland with a boardwalk is open to the public for recreational purposes.
A Belted Kingfisher and a Green Heron were the highlights of the bird sightings..
The Green Heron looking fluffy and maybe wet, it preened for quite a while.
The dragonfly looks like a Blue Darter, a view of the wetlands and an Eastern Painted Turtle.
The Clouded Sulfur and various wildflowers seen during our Hashawha walk.
A pretty Clouded Sulfur..
I hope everyone enjoyed my weekend walk and photos..
As always I thank you in advance for stopping by and for the nice comments.
I hope you can join in on our at Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
Thanks to Judith our new host of Mosaic Monday and to the hosting group of Our World Tuesday: Arija, Gattina, Lady Fi, Sylvia, Sandy and Jennifer. I wish everyone a happy week ahead!

Great critters Eileen. The yellow butterfly is great, and the heron is so funny all scrunched up.
Beautiful birds in this garden.
You find the most wonderful critters on your walks. I love herons, but have to admit there is something about the kingfisher that always makes me smile. May be because they look like they are up to something! Happy Mosaic Monday!
Do you whistle or sing and they all come to you as if you were in a Disney movie?
You find so much : )
As always your pictures are gorgeous. Maryland has some wonderful parks!!
Oh my, the Clouded Sulphur is the most beautiful, and all of them excellent too.

I am really beginning to appreciate cute little green herons as you share various photos of them. When I saw them in Florida, it was quick shots and not that close.

Boy, that Clouded Sulphur is sensational! I need to learn how to do collages. I think that's a good way to present many photos at once.
