I am linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.
Still cleaning up some old files and another short post for my Skywatch Friday and Good Fences I am sharing various scenes from my neighborhood and yard.
Not far from our house we pass this rural scene on the way to my son's house.
The geese were enjoying a field that was recently cleared.
The sky during one of our recent walks looked pretty.
The only snow I've seen so far this year on Dec 19th, a light dusting on our deck. BTW, you can see our fence just past the deck railing..
A sunset from our deck, I like the pretty pink clouds.
Here are two shots of the moon taken on Dec 20th.
I had to wait till the moon rose above the trees for a clear shot. I believe there were some thin clouds around the moon. Someone previously asked about the setting for my moon photos. These are straight out of the camera which was on the AUTO setting and were hand held. I do not use a tripod for my photos, maybe they would be better if I did.
I hope you enjoyed the scenes and images. Thank you for stopping by and most all for the nice comments. Have a happy day and weekend ahead..

Great rural fence scenes Eileen! What a lot of geese doing a bit more clearing up in that field!
Your moon shots are just awesome!
Have a great day!
Excelente trabalho e belas fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
I think your moon shots are terrific--I think the cameras nowadays are so good-even just using auto settings can yield spectacular results. I have a bit of trouble with night shots just holding the camera--I guess I shake a bit. Yours are nice and clear.
Great collection of shots. The moon pic is excellent.
We haven't seen any fields of geese here yet this year. Probably because they are fat and happy in fields around your house. I know some people don't like Canada geese but I'm always glad to see them.
What stunning photos of the moon!
Hope you have a good week and see lots of nature next week!
Hi Eileen, you have such vast, open space in your area. I love the shot of the moon seen through the branches.
Never met a sky I didn't love.
Great moon shot. We can never have enough of those!
Hi Eileen, I love the walk along the grassy road through the fields. And the snow on the deck. And the moon. oh I love it all! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jo
Hello Eileen!:)What a wonderful sight to see all those geese and a lovely panarama. Great sky and moon shots also, and I love your deck fence.
the moon shot is so creepy looking. i love it!! what do they call that a harvest moon, or is that something else? not an expert there. gorgeous. love the way the fencing curls around the field, so pretty to the eyes. ( :

.....totally spooky, but I was photographing the moon through trees on exactly that date, in Sydney!!! Love the big sky shot... YAM xx
Eileen, this is such a gorgeous series, all they need is a frame!
Beautiful landscapes Eileen.
that is one large gaggle of geese. wow.. and i love the moon shot and the sky with trees OH MY. so beautiful
Hi Eileen, Beautiful photography! I have not seen so many Canada Geese in one spot. They do travel well it seems. Have a fantastic day today!
So nice clicks.
Have a nice weekend.
Good evening
I came across you blog and find it very interesting!
Your pictures are amazingly beautiful!
Wonderful photos ! I find just local to be just awesome lol ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
I always love seeing birds out enjoying nature. We have a lot of water out here and it's always filled with ducks and geese (except for right now because it's frozen)
The geese are surely enjoying themselves, what a lovely field. Your dusting of snow is much like ours so far this year. We've had a couple of light snowfalls but nothing to call extreme yet! (Makes me happy, except for no snowmen around the yard yet.) Enjoy your day and easy winter weather for us all!
Hi Eileen,
marvelous photos of a wonderful view and to the moon.
Best regards, Synnöve
lovely sky shots and gorgeous moon, as always. i loved the flock of geese scattered on the grass! (and i just linked you in as i noticed you hadn't had a chance yet.) :)
No snow here yet..Our cornfield used to be full of geese when it as harvested..This year they planted Soy. No geese after it was harvested..Guess they don't like Soy,,They came but didn't stay...Nice that your family is close by..
Great moon shots and lovely fence ones too ~
Wishing you a Happy Week ~ ^_^
Another super selection Eileen, thank you.
I love the colours in the sunset from your deck, the clouds in pink look great.
Do hope you are having a good week.
All the best Jan
Lovely! Especially the first one.
For a makeshift tripod I sit down, hold the camera with both hands, and place my elbows on my knees.
Have a wonderful week-end!
Lea
Oh VERY tasty shots! I like the Tiffany lamp reflection
Wow! Look at those geese! We're seeing some pretty big flocks of birds now that are migrating. I even have some pics to share on Sat. Hugs!
What a gooosescape!
;-)
Great shots Eileen! I'm missing the snow this year, but we had "conversational snowflakes" on Monday, so it's a start. I could do without the cold though, but it's January, and so we're just bundling up. Hope you've had a good week!
Wow that is a bunch of geese for sure enjoying that field. We've had some snow this winter but not a lot (which is fine by me) but it's been cold. I'm so ready for it to warm up. - Gosh your shots of the moon are amazing. So what type of a camera do you use to get them? I cannot get a decent shot of the moon at night no matter if I use a Tripod or not.
Your images of the moon are stunning. I am amazed! That is a lot of geese in that field.
Very pretty scenes, Eileen - I love the geese in the field and those amazing moon shots!
Nice moon shots! And that sure is a lot of geese in that field!
You do not need a tripod, your shots are great Eileen. That is certainly a lot of geese feeding. Good fences
Love your moon pics . . .
and the flock of gulls . . .
or should that be 'fleet'!
And your fence too . . .
You have beautiful scenes around your home. Both shots of the moon are gorgeous.
beautiful pictures. The pink clouds are sooo nice.
have a great day
Excelentes fotografias.
Um abraço e bom fim de semana.
Dear Eileen,
Wishing you a very healthy, happy new year!

You take the best moon shots, Eileen!

i forgot to say...we have not gotten i flake of snow!!!!!
Great captures, Eileen! The moon shot is amazing!
Wish you a happy new year!
Irene
Fabulous moon shot. You must have steady hands!
I nice collection you have put together. You all really have the Canada Geese up there. We have had dustings of snow like up there down here. You sky and moon shots are plumb purdy :-)
Love your photo's Eileen.....that is the usual amount of snow we get here in Tasmania during Winter....I would love it to just dump a few inches of the stuff...just once every winter!
Seeing all of that open space gives such a sense of peace.
Awesome moon shot! Lovely landscapes.
Nice images. I do like your moon shot and the fact that you take pictures like I do. I just use my camera and point, hold and shoot. I have never used a tripod and teased about that. That sure is a huge flock of geese.

I saw the moon last evening and thought of you. If anyone shows up on the moon's surface, you'll be the first to know! Your shots are always amazing. Love your sky in the grassy-sided path photo. That's a LOT of geese.
such a beautiful moon !!!
wish you all the best for 2016 and happy weekend :-)
What a lovely series!
Have enjoyed all.
An amazing place to live, Eileen!!!
What can I say? I am delighted with all the photos!
Happy Saturday, Eileen!
Ana
I'm a nature lover! Surely I find no other words but Beautiful!
Gorgeous, Eileen! Amazing wonders like always! Rural scenes, tall trees up against the sky, serenity at dusk on your deck, moon between branches and so up close through your photo camera... A mystery to me how you've captured it so well...that I can see these amazing details in pics!
Warm greetings of january and a great weekend, too!
