Cordoras Reservoir, Pennsylvania

I am sharing a list below of memes for this week. If you want try to link up and join in they are fun memes to participate in...I hope you can check out some of the participating posts too. Special thanks to all the wonderful host and their memes, I hope you have some time to check them out.

On the way home from our son's new house we found a trail at the Codorus Reservoir called the Mary Ann Furnace Trail. It was another gloomy dreary day but we took a quick walk maybe 10-15 minutes to see what is was like. I think we will be going back and taking a longer walk soon.

The trail signs and a platform for viewing the wetland and birds. I think we missed seeing the muggles, unless we were the muggles?

Some of the trail was boardwalk, it was nice not to walk in mud.

The mosaic above includes a Gray Catbird, some wildflowers, Spotted Sandpiper, the boardwalk and creek.

Above are the Yellow-rumped Warbler, Wood Duck with ducklings and a Yellow Warbler. I wish the sun was out, the photos would possibly turned out better.

My Youtube video of the Spotted Sandpiper. This Spotted Sandpiper was so cute to watch, I taped him/her bobbing all around the stream.

A barn scene for Tom's Barn Collective, we pass this farm a lot on our way to our son's place in Pennsylvania.

I hope you enjoyed my post, birds and walk on the trail. The video is an added extra to enjoy. Thank you for visiting and for the nice comments. As always, thanks to the wonderful group of hosts listed below.

Here is a list of linky parties for part of the week, I hope to see you there.

sweet little bird and i like the sound of the runniing water to... i could not walk on that boardwalk. i have to have railings. my since of balance has never been good, as in bike riding or anything else that requires balance. looking at the boardwalk with no railing and i start staggering side ways... i even have to be careful when i am walking around our pool deck, the part that is wide i am ok, but he 3 foot side i must be careful... to walk out on a dock is something i can't do...unless it has railings

The bobbing of the sand piper is so cute - never seen a bird do that. Also, I have to look up muggle:) My excuse is that I'm a city slicker, so I don't know much, once it something beyond the freeway, lol! Many thanks for sharing the path with
SEASONS, Eileen! Have a great week, and come back with lots of new captures:) "See" yo soon!

Hi Eileen, Viewing Nature with Eileen is one of the best blogs I know of. This post is a perfect example ... Your mosaics are great. You visited an interesting place and shared photos. You included the neat video! You linked up with several memes and included a great picture of an old barn for one of them. All this, PLUS you take the time to leave kind comments on other peoples blogs. Thank you Eileen!

Glad you didn't have to walk in the mud.... I hate it when we get back from our gold course walk (even though most of it is on the cart path) and have wet grass all over our shoes We finally put a big brush out on the deck and each morning when we get home, we wipe our shoes before going inside... Fun fun.... ha

Great set of pictures. We have a cute little Catbird at our feeders this summer. I love their 'kitty-sounding' song!!!

Amazing how many memes there are around Blogland these days...

Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Eileen, What a nice place to walk. The boardwalk reminds me of a nature preserve near Roswell, Georgia. I also love the barn - beautiful picture.

So you may have received my earlier comment or maybe not?

Anyway I loved the muggles sign and yes, this place would certainly be worth a second visit.

Liked the colour of the barn too.

Do hope the week has started well for you.

All the best Jan

You gave everyone something to think about there Eileen. I too must live in another world as I had to look up both "muggle" and "geocacher" and not much wiser. Not to worry I really enjoyed the Spotted Sandpiper, just like our Common Sandpiper but much prettier.
