Hello
I have been jumping around with my posts lately these are images are from June. On this day back in late June, hubby and I took a walk on our local NCR bike trail. I am sharing some of the scenes from our walk, the trail, a Common Yellowthroat Warbler, daylilies and a fish.
A Common Yellowthroat Warbler is seen all summer along this trail. It is a cute bird wear his black mask and quite the singer.
The NCR bike trail.
This stream follows along side the NCR trail. Looking over the side of the bridge we saw this big fish, not sure what kind it is?
NCR trail are the initials for the North Central Railway. This walking and biking trail was an old railway that went from Northern Baltimore County into Baltimore City.
Along the bike trail we tasted some wild berries, a rose bush on private property and some daylilies along the river bank.
On the way home a farm and barn scene. I tried to zoom in on the barn and silo but it sits down low on the hill.
Also, sharing some local barns for Tom's Barn Collective. The barn below is a little hidden behind the tree, the brick silo is cool.
I have not been out on many birding trips lately, I have been reading a lot more. My most recent book was called The Shell Seekers. It is a 1987 novel by Rosamunde Pilcher, a great story by a wonderful author. I highly recommend this book. Back to the birding, I hope to go to the Delaware shore soon to seen the migrating shorebirds.
Thanks for visiting and as always thank you for the nice comments. Have a great day and new week ahead!
Here is my list of memes for the week, I hope you can check one or some of these fun memes and the participants post.

That NCR bike trail looks wonderful. I think hubby and I would enjoy that!
Hi Eileen, what gorgeous captures! I also love how you display your photos. I am currently reading a book entitled "Come be my Light" by Mother Teresa, sent to me by a blogging friend, and it wasn't from a giveaway I participated in, as I don't participate in them, she just sent it to me thinking I would enjoy it. I really am. I hope you are having a great weekend. :)
Hello,
Beautiful birds and flowers! Wild berries tast very good :)
Enjoy your Sunday!
Beautiful pictures and amazing fish. Good Day.
Beautiful collages and pics. Happy Sunday Eileen.. :-)))
Your barn photos are always a treasure, but of course I also love that little Yellowtrhroat warbler.
Your display today is stunning, lovely circles, ovals and hearts , and the birds, as always, beautiful.
Gorgeous post Eileen. Love the presentation and the Warbler is beautiful.
Have a brilliant new week :)
Nice photos Eileen . . .
I love listening to the birds . . .
Makes porch sitting very nice!
I've had that same warbler travel through my yard during migration one year (just once). You were able to get some great photos of the birds. The trail looks perfect for biking. We go on an old railroad bed when we go camping, but only a small portion of it has been converted (20 km approx). Makes for a comfortable ride :)
I read The Shell Seekers way back when it first came out and loved it!

I enjoyed reading the Shell Seekers years ago. Perhaps I should read it again
Have a great week!
I love how you arranged that first photo collage!
Seems like a friendly trail with the stream running along side of it. That looks like a trout. Bet the mosquitoes are brutal.
Reading is another joy to rediscover after retirement!! So good to read a book without falling asleep after a couple of pages! But you have been getting some remarkable pictures outdoors as well.... and your collages are amazing. So pretty.

Your photos are always wonderful. I like all the green in the first ones. The bird does blend in. Nature at it's finest. Love all your creative mosaics!
You too have a good week.
Eileen,
Your trails are so pretty year around. My husband occasionally travels back to your area and always tells me how pretty the terrain is.
Wish Texas was little prettier.
Oh, we moved the hummingbird feeder closer to the house and changed out the nectar and watched about 5 Hummingbirds last night-so neat:)
Have a fabulous week,
Jemma
Dear Eileen,
I read the Shell Seekers many, many years ago in fact I think I've read most of her books, glad you enjoyed it too. Love your mosaics, so clever, especially the one made of circles.
Happy Trails and Happy MM.
Maggie
You have so many wonderful spots to walk and bird/nature walk. I alway enjoy your posts. Happy Monday!
I always love your bird photos, Eileen, and today that barn, tile silo, and fence! Nice collages for the new Mosaic Monday. I hope to get back to all those fun memes sometime this fall. Have a wonderful week. - Judy
I'm late getting to this post..sorry..There are quite a few of those "rails and trails" in this area..Pretty Warbler..Love the old barn..Nice collection..
The yellow-throated warbler is beautiful on his branch among the leaves. Great shot.
Another book by Rosamunde Pilcher that you might enjoy (I see that Pondside mentioned Coming Home, which is great, too), is September. It has Noel from The Shell Seekers as one of the characters.
Wonder green post !!
Beautiful nature, Eileen. Berries and hearts are precious.
Buen lunes 😊.
Un abrazo.
Great trail you are taking us on here! The roses, the berries, and the yellow road throat warbler are some of my favorites! The Shell Seekers is one of the novels I read and read again! Many thanks for sharing this with SEASONS, and have a great week reading:)
Some awesome collages today Eileen.
I too have been reading more than birding [but it's because of the heat index outdoors ...I'd MUCH rather be Birding!!] I hope you get to see many migrating shorebirds on your upcoming trip.
Your post made me reminiscent for the summer Eileen. It was short - just a couple of days if I remember correctly.
Good luck with the trip to Delaware. Hope you see lots of waders and wildfowl.
The warbler pics are wonderful! Great composition of the pics in this post, Eileen!
I wish that I had those wild berries!
All the greeneries are so refreshing with the eyes.

Your mosaics are wonderful. They showcase your photograph quiet nicely. You live in pretty countryside with lots of woods that make birding fun and worthwhile. Love your photos.
Gorgeous photos, Eileen!
I wish I could to be there walking on the beautiful trail!
Hi Eileen, love your mosaics - fancy! The warbler is very cute - I've never seen one. I think the fish is a pike, not sure if it is a northern pike or not. I remember them from my childhood around Massachusetts. They have lots of teeth! I read that book - I really liked it! Hope you have a nice week ahead. xx Karen
