Saturday's Critters #339

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

Surprise, no birdies photos today. Gone but not forgotten, hubby and I will always remember good times with the first dogs we owned together. This was way before our sweet Goldie Girl. Sunshine was first, she was a pretty yellow Labrador. Daisy came 6 months later , she was a sweet Golden Retriever.  I scanned some of my favorite photos of Sunshine and Daisy.  Some old film photos were taken around 1990, scanned recently into my computer.

Sunshine on the left and Daisy on the right.

Both Daisy and Sunshine loved swimming in the nearby lake.

Fetching sticks and swimming were their favorite activities.

Sunshine at the lake with some daylilies nearby.

Sunshine, she look like she has a fly on her face.

Daisy found this mud puddle to be refreshing..

Sunshine and Daisy, winter time at the lake.

Sunshine and Daisy running on the snow covered fire road.

Daisy trying to say to Sunshine, you are going the wrong way.

During these stay at home times hubby and I worked on some old photo albums.  Happy times and happy memories!

Check back later for any replies to your comments.

Thanks to all my visitors and for all the wonderful comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.

  2. Those were handsome dogs! Of course I remember sweet your Goldy Girl ... She is definitely not forgotten by any of us and it is nice to learn about your earlier companions. ... I’m impressed with how you used your “isolation” time to work on your old photos and albums.

  12. pretty names for pretty companions :) It is good to have photos to remember by. We had a dog when I was a child but it turned out I was bit allergic to them. It is sad when you can´t pet them when they say "hello".

Take care and stay safe. They are opening up a bit more in Sweden now. From this week we are allowed to travel, carefully, in our country.

  15. I had so many pets as a kid-- hamsters, Guinea Pigs, mice, lizards, turtles, snakes, canaries, parakeets... but never a dog or cat. Truth was that our grandparents both had wonderful dogs-- my Mom's parents lived right next door. Ironically, when the last of my younger brothers and sisters left the household, my parents adopted a great little friendly mutt!

I intend to write a "How to " article and the subtitle would be: "It took a global pandemic for me to..." The title still hasn't come to me! I sorted so much out in my house on my computer and on my phone. Your scanned photos are very clear. Thanks for sharing and for hosting this meme. I posted last week and couldn't upload. 55. such sweet faces ... this makes me smile. we have met so many great animals (pets) that our camping buddies own .. i often wonder how they keep up? we were at a Rural King in Illinois and they had a cute bunny. my hubby and i were like so cute ...he even thought about it for a good while. i was on. i have not had a pet since i was young. had a guinea pig, lots of fish ... but then he realized how long a bunny could live. i think it was a miniature one. and they apparently live extra long. i way saying we could have him (or her) on a leash. i have seen it. never would have know cats are on leashes but they are ... some say they prefer it. such great views. thanks for sharing. have Sunday.
