Saturday's Critters # 533

Welcome to Saturday's Critters! Hello and Happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

I noticed I have a few blogs I follow on my side bar that do not update with the current post, they stay at the bottom of the list even though the blog has a new post. Does anyone know how to keep the list updated with current post?

Feb 4th, a pretty sunny and blue sky day for our walk.We take this fire road walk to see how the Bald Eagle nest is coming along. We have been seeing the Bald Eagles nesting for years now at our local Prettyboy Reservoir.

Below is a fuzzy image of the Bald Eagle on the nest and her mate was sitting in a nearby tree.

One of the Bald Eagles took off and flew around the lake only to land in another tree.

Far off across the lake I saw a big group of Common Mergansers. They are common visitors to our lake in the winter months.

A juvenile Bald Eagle flew over the lake.

We were still able to walk on the lake shore, usually when the lake is full we have to walk on the trail.

At first I though I saw a deer on the trail in front of us as we were walking back to the car.
It turned out to be a man walking his two German Pointer dogs.

We love visiting with our grandsons and the grand-dogs, Nibbles and Winnie are cute critters.

Here is another critter puzzle we have finished recently.  I love the Orca whales, I had a brief glimpse of one while on an Alaska cruise.

Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

  5. Your walk looks nice, especially the nesting eagles. I don't know why it takes time to update the list of blogs. I just checked, and my post from earlier in the week was listed rather than the one that posted a little while ago. Mysterious, but I suspect there's nothing you can do about it as it's up to Blogger.

  36. Eileen,
Greetings to you from Seattle. It fascinated me to stop by Saturday’s Critters this morning and see that we are both posting about Bald Eagles today. 😊It is a joy to see your pictures and the eagles at nearby Prettyboy Reservoir. This morning I spotted a pair of Bald Eagles … I believe they nest right here near my home, but I have yet to discover where their nest is located. I usually see them zooming around in the morning when I figure they are looking for breakfast. 😊 Today, with a wind in the air, they stopped at the top of a nearby tree and I grabbed my camera. Got a few shots, definitely not perfect, but nice to catch them at rest and together. Thanks for hosting and sharing another Saturday’s Critters. I enjoyed the pics of Nibbles and Winnie … and, wow, that Orca puzzle … as you can imagine, that puzzle must be a top seller to folks in Seattle. A happy weekend to you and yours!

You are one of those. I always used to get email notification from your blog. But a year or so ago I stopped getting them for several blogs... the others continue. Unfortunately for those that don't I have to rely on my memory to check on them so I can comment. That doesn't always work. Blogger is always changing things. Usually not for the better.
