I seem to always be at least a month behind sharing my critters and bird photos. These images start off at Jan 23rd.
1. Jan 23rd, my yard birds included the Northern Mockingbird, Blue Jays, Northern Flicker and the Dark-eyed Junco.
2. The Northern Mockingbird has been a bully chasing off all my other birds from the food and the water.
3. The Dark-eyed Junco was waiting nearby for a quick grab and go before the Mockingbird came back.
4. The Blue Jays stand their ground and refuse to be bullied by the Mockingbird.
5. I watched the Northern Flicker getting a drink of water. Even the Flicker had to be on the lookout for the bully Mockingbird.
6. Jan 25th, We love our Miney, she still has a lot of puppy habits. Since she is still a puppy we need to be constantly watching her. She is quick to grab anything in her sight.
7. Jan 26th, hubby and I like to take Miney out for a morning walk every day. I think she enjoys the walks and there are so many new scents for her to smell along the fire road.
8. Jan 26th, we visited our son and his family. Any time is a good time that we spend with our grandchildren. I also love seeing Winnie the Corgi, our grand-dog.
I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.
Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

I am enjoying Miney and your grandies progress! My eldest grandie goes to university next year!
Your feeder is a most interesting place to watch! Each bird — as you portray them — has a clear personality, almost like a group of humans.
Your grandchildren are adorable, and you must enjoy them so much!
Thanks for hosting the Critter Party… mae at maefood.blogspot.com

It strange that sometimes blogger gives your replies elsewhere, rather than next to the original comment - but once I get to the page to write my comment, they all shuffle back to the correct places! Not liking this. I enjoyed reading comments and their replies together. OK, I should be talking to them rather than you. Loved your wonderful bird shots, and sweet Miney! Of course grandchildren are the best of all!
Thank you Barb, for your link and your comment.
Blogger can act up at times.

Happy Saturday! Your critter photos are fantastic! I love how you’ve captured the dynamics of your yard birds—the Northern Mockingbird sounds like quite the character! It’s great to see how the Blue Jays and Flicker stand their ground despite the bullying. And Miney sounds adorable, bringing so much joy and energy to your walks! Thanks for sharing these lovely moments—I'd love for you to check out my new post as well!
I always like seeing a Junco bouncing around but we have so much snow that we aren't seeing any birds right now. I can hear them but they are not at my place. Miney looks like she is very happy, Eileen.
Interesting how there are always bullies around the feeder. there is also competition as smaller birds scrap from time to time.
Excellent photos Eileen. Lovely family and dogs. Have a nice weekend ! Take care !
Thank you Melody, for your comment and your visit.
Miney does enjoy our walks.

Dear Eileen, I didn't know that Northern Mockingbirds chase other birds off - was it just this particular (very pretty, by the way) bird or have you seen other Mockingbirds doing this, too? Fortunately, your other garden birds weren't permanently chased away by the Mockingbird... I keep noticing that there is rivalry between the 4 blackbirds that come into our garden - and sometimes the blackbirds also chase away great tits or sparrows.
Miney is a sweet explorer. I think walks in the snow must be particularly exciting for her!
It's great that you were able to visit your young family with the grandchildren and granddog again. Grandchild time is always a pleasure! And this is baby granddaughter Sophie? Already so big?! You're right, time really flies!
I'm not surprised that the pretty Roseate Spoonbills are one of your Florida favorite birds!
All the best, Traude

Hello Eileen
Happy Saturday to you, the weeks go by so quickly!
Lovely to see your birds and Miney too.
Also great pictures of the grandchildren.
Have a good weekend and enjoy the last week of February.
All the best Jan
I wrote a nicer comment, and then lost it somehow, oh well. Love your birds and puppy. I enjoy taking part in your Saturday Critters challenge.
Your bird photos are so nice. You have a great variety right in your own backyard. Miney found a good home with the two of you. Sweet to see your Grands. They grow so fast. Happy weekend to you!
they certainly do have different personalities and traits, don't they? when i see the little song birds at the feeders i always feel bad when the big bullies come. one nice thing about the blue jays is, here, i think they have a warning call when a hawk is by the feeders. the mockingbirds are so pretty and they sit still for pictures, unlike some of the others. winnie and those adorable grands always steal the show. the older guy is getting really big!!
You captured wonderful pictures of your yard birds, your puppy and the grandchildren.
Thank you Carol, for your link and your comment.
It is a joy to spend time with our grandchildren.
The dog is keeping us active, which is a good thing.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Traude, for your link and your comment.
I am not sure if all Mockingbirds are bullies or if it is just my Mockingbird. I am sure this one has a nest nearby. Sophie is growing fast, she is a little bigger than the boys were at her age. Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Jan, for your comment and your visit.
February has flown by, I hope March is warmer.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you for your link and your comment.

Thank you Ellen, for your comment and your visit.
We like to think Miney has a happy home. The grandkids are growing so fast, too fast. Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Debbie, for your link and your comment.
It is true the Jays do sound off an alert when a hawk is nearby. They like to imitate the hawk sounds too. The kiddies are growing so fast. Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Linda, for your comment and your visit.
They are all my favorite things!
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Eileen! Happy Saturday! I wish I could feed the birds but we have many squirrels in our area and they practically inhale the bird seed. I tried buying a squirrel resistant bird feeder but they quickly figured out how to conquer that. I tried [utting the bird seed on my patio but all that did was attract voles amd mice, so I gave up!
Thank you Pat, for your comment and your visit.
I spread a little bit on my deck railing. The squirrels are piggies and broke my feeder, which I do not use anymore.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
