Saturday's Critter's #46
Happy weekend everyone! I am looking forward to seeing everyone's critters this week..I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party.
I am sharing some birds and critters from our visit to Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware last weekend..
A large group of Great Egrets and a few Snowy Egrets and maybe some Yellowlegs..
One of the many Great Blue Herons seen during our visit..
These birds must be confused, it is not winter yet.. The snow birds.. Dark-eyed Juncos..
The Turtle was climbing up this log to get out of the water..
It was warm enough for this Toad or frog to be out sunning themselves on a log..
This was one of two foxes we saw walking on the wildlife drive..He/she had it eye on me and my car.

Hi Dearest Eileen; Oh, Bombay Hook NWR sure must be the great place for wild life animals♡♡♡ Yes, many numbers of Great Egrets and a few Snowy Egrets etc in the first picture; I can only see a couple of egrets sometime in the rice paddy p;) I really love the picture sweet fox had it eye on you and your car♪♪♪

Great shares this week Eileen. I especially like the fox and the last image with the beautiful reflections.
Great shots especially the ones with the birds in the lake. That frog looks enormous if that leaf is a big one...trying to work out the scale.
Fantastic series of images Eileen! My favourite is the fox, I love them, mostly because they are so beautiful and intelligent.

Bombay Hook appears to be a wonderful refuge, so rich in wildlife. Our juncos arrived about a week ago. That is one bird we do not see in south Florida. Best wishes, adn than you for hosting this great site!

What a great variety of critters today. I haven't seen a fox in awhile. I had one trot right up to me once.

I think that is an American Bullfrog. (I was just figuring out how to tell the difference between them and similar frogs last week.)

Oh my, Eileen, I am so behind with comments but plan to return here later today because I can see you have some amazing lifers and critter photos that I've missed. Beautiful egrets with their curved necks and reflections. I wish I were there to see them too. The fox looks crafty, my son says he saw one in my yard but I haven't seen one.
love herons - not seen one for a few years now - i just get pigeons and starlings.

Those are some nice shots of the egrets and heron. We often see fox when we're driving up to camping, but never see them on our hikes. I've not been lucky enough to see one when I have the camera handy ... yet! Have a great weekend Eileen. Wendy x

Your post puts me in mind of warmer days Eileen and I always enjoy the wildlife you find on your excursions.
We really need to have foxes re-introduced to our country setting but the coyotes are increasing in numbers and will no doubt be culled in the near future.

Amazing to see such diverse wildlife...actually it is glorious...mine is hiding as the weather has shifted and is colder and rainy.
I particularly liked the first shot of the large gaggle, with the golden grass in the back ground. Take a few beats off the heart monitor. So relaxing
I see again host many fun blogs with a variety of diertejs and beautiful birds. you too herons and other birds are fun to watch. Sure enough a turtle:-)
