Happy Mother's Day

I am linking up with   Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday   They are both fun memes to participate in...I hope you can join in with the fun  and check out some of the participating posts.

Wishing all the Mom's a very happy Mother's Day..I am including all the moms of the cute fur-babies too.

I am sharing some blossoms and trees in our yard along with some yard birds. Spring is such a colorful time of the year, the trees look so pretty. And then there are the colorful birds showing off their breeding colors..I hope you enjoy the blossoms and birds.

Above top row: one of our many squirrel friends, a Chipping Sparrow, male Downy Woodpecker. Second row: Indigo Bunting, male Cardinal, Blue Jay. Bottom row, another Indigo Bunting, female Rose-breasted Grosbeak, male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

The Dogwood tree is one of my favorite trees in the spring..

Lately, I've been watching the Pileated Woodpeckers in the woods across from our driveway.. They are finding some good bugs..

More beautiful spring colors..Above some of our backyard blossoming trees and azaleas. Bottom left is our front yard, the maple tree and forsythia along with the pine trees.

I am thinking of my Mom and Grandmother on this Mother's Day and missing them both..

I hope you enjoyed my blossoms, birds and photos.. Thank you for visiting and for all the nice comments.. Have a great day and week ahead!

I use Pic Monkey to create my mosaics, you can use Pic Monkey free or pay for an upgraded version.
I hope you can join in on our fun with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday

Thanks to Judith our host of Mosaic Monday and to the hosting group of Our World Tuesday: Arija, Gattina, Lady Fi, Sylvia, Sandy and Jennifer.

  6. You have the best of the colourful North American birds in your yard Eileen!! My mom always loved to see the indigo buntings, but it was a rare sighting for her. I had a flock of blue jays descend into my yard the other day. I didn't want to scare them away in order to grab my camera from inside, so no photos. Your yard of blossoming trees is amazing! Spring blossoms are the best after winter. My redbud is just about ready to show its colour, and the lilacs are about a week away from coming out too. Can't wait! Have a great day!

I miss having bleeding heart too, they don't do well for me here. Mother's day is not all roses for everyone. I'm sorry for your sadness today.

  40. Hi there, Just stopping by to say “Happy Mother’s Day” to you. I’m sure you are having a fabulous day. I celebrated yesterday when one of my sons and his beautiful wife came to see us….

As you probably know, we’ve been out-of-town this past week and I haven’t done any blogging much at all. I hope you enjoyed my two Tulip blog posts while we were gone——and be sure and tune in tomorrow morning to find out what we’ve been doing this past week….

Enjoyed your post today! The birds and the blooms are all TERRIFIC. We saw the male Grosbeaks a week or so ago--but haven't seen any of the females yet.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  70. Dear Eileen
What a feast of beautiful birds in your yard - I would be in heaven!
    Their colours are amazing!
The majority of birds at my feeders are ordinary sparrows, occasionally a Waxeye in Spring, they are such timid birds and get chased away by the sparrows!
Lovely to see your blossoms and I agree the Dogwood is the standout tree!
