Skywatch Key West

Linking up with NF Winged   and  Skywatch Friday

I am so glad you stopped by, I am taking you back to Key West for a pretty sunset.  It was our 2nd night in Key West and this time we watched the sunset from the famous Mallery Square. For NF Winged I am sharing all the gulls we saw around Mallory Square in Key West.

I had fun watching a huge flock of Laughing Gulls.

While we were watching the sunset from Mallory Square, we also watched this catamaran pull up in front of the sun go past a little and then back up and stopped right in front of the setting sun. So our view of the sun was blocked some by the boat. The folks on board got the best view.

Mallory Square sunset cruises.

The flock of gulls would take off and fly, while we were watching the sunset.

These gulls and a terns were catching some of the sun's rays.

Mallory Square was fun for a one time visit. We did enjoy the sunset but there are a lot of sunset spots along Florida's west coast.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I always appreciate your comments.

Happy Skywatching  to everyone!

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday
and to see more of the winged critters check out NF Winged

Thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday! Thanks to Monica the host of NF Winged.  Also, thank you for stopping by to see my post. I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

Gorgeous sunset, Eileen. You are right. There are many places along the FL coast to see that beauty... BUT--I loved seeing the boats in your photos. They just enhanced the beautiful sky...

Great birds also.
Hugs,
Betsy

KInda' selfish of the catamaran, but it actually made a lovely focal point in front of that perfect sunset. Mallery Square at sunset is definitely a must-see for everybody (once, anyway ;>))

Hi Eileen!! Great shots of the gulls, they can be so loud when they all start screeching at the same time.

Stunning sunset shots, too!!!

These are great photos of the sunset -- and the gulls. I don't think I've seen so many flying around at one place as in your sunset pictures. I'm sorry the catamaran stopped in front of the sun, but the sailboat silhouette is pretty neat.

I loved Key West. My cousin had a lovely home on one of the canals with a boat and it was such fun. Your pictures are so pretty. The one of the gull in flight is super. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Spring is finally here with a bit of sumer thrown in for good luck. genie

Great sunsets there - too bad you didn't get the horizon horizontal.
Perhaps you could use a simple software to straighten up your photos. They're worth it, they're really great! I hope you don't mind my comment but I believe we're also here to help each other improve our photography skills.

amazing shots. I especially love the one where the sun is almost half way down, sinking into the ocean.

All those gulls made for some good birding Eileen. Lovely sunset shot and I don't think the other boat spoiled your picture but simply added to the effect. have a great weekend.

What a beautiful series Eileen, I love them all but if I had to pick a favorite it'd be the red sun behind the boat. Ah, the wonder of this world.

We have a weekly linky party if you care to join us and share the beauty of your world, it's at:
