Just another day

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences  and NF Winged

This is how my day is from beginning to end.. Starting with my walk to work after parking the car, scenes from my drive home and the moon rising in the evening..Oh, I can not forget the birdies on my deck.. I usually have to re-fill the feeders when I come home from work because the birds squirrels ate all the food..

Everyone morning I pass by this church fence with the pretty Crepe Myrtle, next photo is a fence in between the fountains and City Hall.

I pass by this barn and fence to and from work..I always check out the opening, I am expecting to see a Barn owl sitting there one day..

And for my NF Winged post, I am sharing some of my yardbirds..the wings of the hummingbird, an American Goldfinch, cute Chipping Sparrow and my Poppa Eastern Bluebird.

I am sure these are jet contrails.. I just have never seen five together like this, pretty cool sight.

The sky and moon over my house..

The First Quarter moon on Aug 4, 2014.. The moon is in the zodiac sign Scorpio. Don't forget to check out the full moon on August 10th.

I hope you enjoyed my post and photos
To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday
and check more fence shots at Tex's Good Fences
and for anything that has wings check out NF Winged

Thanks to Tex @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday also thanks to Monica of NF Winged!   I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

That crepe Myrtle is stunning, 5 contrails, and bird feeders, the red one is fascinating. ( I do hope it is indeed a feeder!!) Cheers, Jean.

Someone after my own heart Eileen - Birding from dawn to dusk. I hope you see a Barn Owl in that opening, it sure looks perfect. It's good to see your Bluebirds still "at it".

The crepe myrtle does a lot to soften the look of the brick and wrought iron fence. I love the old barn - hope you see that barn owl some day.

Hi Eileen
My, that's a beautiful barn. I just love those old weathered ones--and the details on them are so nice. So much better than our modern steel buildings!

Hi Eileen, You have a great drive (and walk) to and from work... Isn't it fun to get out during all times of the day to take pictures???? We have a huge squirrel problem also.. In fact, we put our bird food AWAY when we are gone from home. Otherwise, who knows what would be left????ha

Great set of pictures.
Hugs,
Betsy

What perfect morning sights! That barn is incredible! I love the birds who visit your feeders, and the entire way to and from work is lovely! Great photos.

You might want to check out about the contrails. Contrails actually dissipate because they contain vapor. These are chemtrails being sprayed deliberately. They last a long time and keep the sun from causing evaporation. Look it up...you'll be amazed!

I love that barn. Almost expected it to fall over. :) But I guess it will not. :)

Another very enjoyable post! I came over for the fence entry, but every image is wonderful! I LOVE THE BARN! Beautiful birds. All those contrails - wonder if the Blue Angels were flying? :) Gorgeous moon - I hope we have clear skies for the super moon. Plus, there are supposed to be meteor showers at the same time!

Visiting from Good Fences.

What a lovely and varied commute you have! And what lovely and varied bird visitors you have! :-)
Those contrails make me suspect that the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels were doing a flyover when you weren't looking! ;-)

And wow, that moon shot is sublime! It looks like a NASA photo!

Lovely views on your morning walk! The crepe myrtle is wonderful - I don't see them growing here in Washington often. Barn windows always hold such mystery to me, too. Sweet birds and the contrails are very interesting. We had the blue angels here last weekend - perhaps they were on their way home! Beautiful moon photos, too. It is in my 'house' (Scorpio) xo Karen

You have such a pretty drive to work, and also the walk into work! Love that old barn, but I just want to prop a couple of poles underneath the overhang ;) A barn owl in that opening would be perfect. You have lots of feathery friends at your feeders. This afternoon I saw lots of goldfinches, chickadees, robins & mourning doves. I wonder if they're starting to gather for migration already? Hope not. Enjoy your weekend Eileen (we were noticing the moon tonight, just a smidgeon from a full moon). Wendy x
