I am linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.
To break up my trip photos I am sharing some photos from our local walk to the lake and some birds and scenes from my yard and neighborhood. These images were taken back in September. On this day we walked to the lake in front of our place and passed by my neighbor's turkeys. The turkeys are raised and sold, I assume for Thanksgiving dinners.
This is a view of the turkeys from the fireroad. And on this day there was a turkey on the wrong side of the fence.
A cute fence scene...I was thinking your free, your free! Run turkey... run and hide.
It was a pretty day for our walk to the lake, lovely sky, pretty berries seen along the fireroad and a cute chickadee.
The lake, clouds reflecting and some shadows from the trees.
Beside the usual GB heron at the lake we have been seeing some Double-crested Cormorants.
Another fence scene, I always enjoy seeing my neighbors horses. The two little ones are growing fast.
Hubby's sunset shot at the lake, if you look closely you can see a sundog reflection on the lake.
The sunset from the yard, a pretty pink sky.
My moon series taken on Sept 23rd.
I hope you enjoyed my photos from around the yard and neighborhood. Thanks for stopping by for a visit and for your nice comments. Have a happy day and weekend ahead.

Love those Moon shots - I wonder if the turkey on the wrong side of the fence has found out about Thanks Giving?
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
The turkeys don't look worried yet...but they should be. ;))
Good morning Eileen! As ever your photos are awesome! Wonder if the turkey escaped? It sensed Thanksgiving is coming soon!!
Have a lovely day!
Lindo e belas fotografias.
Um abraço e boa semana.
"Runaway! Runaway!"
fantastic MOON shots and now it will be hard for me to eat turkey. they look so good behind that fence and happy. little do they know
Hi Eileen, beautiful fence shot with the horses and the turkeys. The one looks like he is thinking, I'm supposed to be with you guys. Great collages and skies too. Love the moon shots.
Have a great day. cm
The Turkeys, waiting for the slaughter.............. I love the moon shots, magnificent, and the sky, red hot.
such a beautiful area! laughed at your 'run, turkey, run and hide!'
I liked the "run turkey run!"
I saw the 'sun dog' . . .
Love your pics of the moon . . .
I love ALL of your pics!
Yeah turkey, run and hide so you don't end up on someone's Thanksgiving table. :-(((
You captured some wonderful photos from your walk. Looks like the turkey don’t want to escape rather get back together, let whatever happen. Love the lake images, so pleasant and peaceful! Great reflections.
Una maravilla de imágenes..muy bonitas,,,un saludo desde Murcia...
Enjoyed all your photos and especially Run turkey run.
Enjoy your day. I am off the exercise class afternoon.
Dearest Eileen; Oh, never seen that great number of turkey and loved your fun caption♡♡♡ You nature photographs always relaxed my mind♪
The reflection of the cloud and the two stunning sunset shots is really gorgeous☆☆☆
Wishing to be able to visit other friends tomorrow:-)
Night Night from Japan to my Dear friend in America.
Awesome pics

Wow. What a sky and what a lake. Great shots from a great perspective.
Good morning Eileen, thanks for taking us with you your walk around your place and neighborhood. Your neighbor's turkey farm is lovely, they make me smile, of course that's not thinking about Thanksgiving dinner! Beautiful captures throughout. I'm thinking we're going to skip turkey this year, as Minnesota has been dealing with the bird flu epidemic! Thinking, ham!
Hello Eileen!:) That is a lovely fence scene with the horses, and the serene lake photos are beautiful. I am always in awe of your moon shots, but the turkey on the wrong side of the fence made me smile, as did your comment. I really hope he got away!:))
I like the photo of the Double-crested Cormorants.
Lovely shots of the sky. And cute turkeys...
Hari Om
Beautifuls... YAM xx
Beautiful photos as usual. That turkey seemed confused, not knowing what to do with his freedom. : )
It's amazing how many interesting fences are around when you stop and take notice! Lovely photos! My favorite fences are hedgerows...natural :)
I like the anxious turkeys and beautiful horses, but I'm especially amazed by the great shots of the moon!
I once had to write a paper about Thanksgiving...in high school English/literature. I wrote it as if I were the turkey and every time I see turkeys and think of Thanksgiving, I remember it. My teacher liked it so well, she read it aloud.
Love your other shots...always interesting. Great moon shots, too.
Hi Eileen,
wonderful and serene photos of your last days. So pretty and amazing !
Best regards, Synnöve
Ah a "Turkey Escapee" - Smart fellow. Those white turkeys are so different from the wild ones we see around here.
Some pretty scenes here, The horses in the fenced field look so peaceful. What a lovely lake & pretty pink clouds.
Love the view of the lake.
Funny story: Years ago bob raised some Turkeys for Thanksgiving. He bought poults in April and by November the turkeys were huge. He got one ready for the oven and it was so huge it wouldn't fit in the oven. Laughter all around. haha
To this day he doesn't care for Turkey.

Wonderful photos ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
Love those turkeys behind that very unusual fencing! Beautiful photos! Have a great day :)
Wonderful lovely series, but sad to know, that the turkeys haven't a long life...
Have a nice time
You really don't have to go on a trip to see beauty and nature now do you? (But you know I'd travel too if I were you!). Lovely pictures of your walks as always.
Very cool sundog reflection! Good capture.
Your neighborhood and the lake are so scenic. I like your moon shot series, too. I hope that turkey got away! (Though I'll be eating some for Thanksgiving...)
Beautiful captures of your world and its critters, as always!! Thanks for sharing the beauty and the fun!!
Hi Eileen, I enjoyed the pics of the critters, hope the turkey stayed free, and, wow, that sunset is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your blog and I hope you are having a good week.
That looks like a nice soft fence for the turkeys! Great scenery in your neighbourhood!
Beautiful skies! I especially like the two sunset pics.
love your water shots, yes, we did go 2 the waterfalls - will share on Monday...

Great sky shots among other beauties ~
Wishing you a happy weekend,

This is the first time I've seen that many live turkeys. Do you happen to have any idea on how much they sell one for? I love the relaxing views you have there. :)
Oh, oh, those turkeys are in jeopardy :)
Worth a Thousand Words
I really like that mesh type fencing around the turkeys. Especially the second image. Love that long shot of the reflections, blue sky and shadow in the 4th shot. Wonderful horses shot, the sunset is gorgeous as well as the sunset. You do get incredible moon shots. An all round great post as usual.
I loved the turkey photos!
The fourth photo down is breathtaking. For some reason those turkeys don't fit the image I had in my head of what turkeys are supposed to look like. I guess I thought they had more colour and more feathers.
Sneaky little gobbler. All the photos today were a pleasure.
Great series Eileen, always a pleasure to look through them. Have a great weekend :)
Every shot is stunning. Such beautiful scenery!
I love those gobblers behind that delightfully wavy fence! I was tickled to see the lost one on the opposite side...perhaps he'll have an adventure!
Beautiful skies you've seen. I think that turkey is on the right side of the fence...
Fun, funny turkey run!! I love the look of the cloud reflections in the water, so beautiful!!
I loved your sky pictures and the heron, but the turkeys stole my heart. I am like you....run, cutie, run. You are FINALLY free.
Beautiful sunsets. I love pictures of horses in the pasture. Fun turkeys ! They don't look ready for Thanksgiving! Hope not. Nice moon series.enjoy the rest of your week.
Run, turkey, run!
Eileen,
I agree with you-those turkey's should have fled while they had the chance.
Gorgeous sunsets!
Happy Thursday,
Jemma
Beautiful series of photos, Eileen, and I have always loved turkeys! :)
So much beauty!!!!
Lovely sunset colors and I like your moon shots, you take them so well.
Beautiful sky shots, Eileen. It is hard to pick a favourite but I think I like the one with the pink clouds that look like a starburst. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful sunsets, and the lake was very peaceful!
Have a nice weekend!
Fantastic moon, lake and sunset shots Eileen. Like you I was thinking that turkey should be making a run for it rather than worrying how to get back to the other side of the fence.
Have a great weekend.
What a funny shot of the turkey at the wrong side of the fence.
The photos with the reflections are wonderful.
Thanks for sharing the beauty and enjoy your weekend!
I love them all, but the lake looking like glass...
I wonder about breaking up trip photos. Like the wedding we attended, but then I post them all for hubby. I found out, in a bit of a mess of hostility around our recent election, that hubby doesn't read my blog anyway. His friend has been terribly negative and hubby, having cancer, is trying to only surround himself with postivies. He just looks at the photos. It's a hard call.
Hello, Eileen!
I'm sorry for the turkeys, but at least those of your neighbour can stay outdoors in more natural conditions. We don't by turkey meat, because here they are not grown in humane and healthful conditions.
Gorgeous bird photos (chickadees are always my favourites) and sunsets and moon shots!
Have a lovely weekend and a happy Halloween!
Some really beautiful shots. I love the pictures of the lake - those reflections and sunset shots, wow - but I also really like the moon pictures too. Amazing collection of photos!
Sharing snapshots at Captured By Jade
A very successful series. Excellent photography.
A lovely series of photos!
The white clouds reflected in the lake is my favorite.
Happy Friday!
Lea
Precious reflections with a beautiful sky.
Good weekend.Eileen ;)
Besos.
Such beautiful pictures.
Happy weekend from Anne-Mari
It is interesting to fence for turkeys. I like the view from spceru, and of course birds. Regards.
Very nice. I love the pink sunset !
It's always nice to see humanely raised animals. If every farm were like that we'd see a lot less weird diseases -and autism too I'd bet!
Beautiful photo's Eileen....loved the Great Turkey Escape!! and an interesting fence to escape from.
Those lake shots and the moon phase is pretty spectacular!
Again, I'll say that you have a great eye for photography Eileen! Even those crazy turkey's you have captured the moment of the one on the wrong side of the fence perfectly!
I hope you've had a good week, and your weekend is an enjoyable one!
The lake photographs are lovely!
What a wonderful post! Love you hoping the turkeys would get away! :-) Love the scenery and pink sky.
Great selection of pics Eileen and your skies are ever so pretty
Wonderful photos, as usual. I had a sun dog to feature on Skywatch, too, though not as pretty as yours reflecting in the water.
Very beautiful pictures ! the moon shots are amazing !
Some lovely scene shots here - thanks for sharing.
All the best Jan
I love the turkey running free :)
Cool fence and gorgeous skies :)
So many turkeys!...
I love all your images... specially that with the horses, and those with the sunset...
Lovely!...
All the best!
