Hashawha Nature Center Part II

Hello,

I took a lot of photos during our walk and visit to the Hashawha Nature Center. I saw so many butterflies, this summer seemed to be the year of the butterfly for me.

The Swallowtail butterflies were everywhere.

The waterlilies were beautiful in the smaller pond.

Waterlilies, Slider turtle, Chickadee and some Black Eyed Susans.

A Monarch Butterfly landed on the boardwalk in front of us.

Carroll County, Md is mostly farm land so we see lots of barns during our outings.

Thanks for coming along on my walk, I hope you enjoyed these photos.
I thank you for visiting and as always thank you for the nice comments.  Have a great day and new week ahead!

Here is my list of memes for the week, I hope you can check one or some of these fun memes and the participants post.

I enjoyed your pics very much. I saw two tiny turtles on my walk today and lots of tiny yellow butterflies. You know how to charm them into posing for you! Have a great day.

I'd like to start my day like that turtle - having a stretch and catching some sunshine on a rock.

Eileen, what a fabulous collection and a barn to boot! I have seen very few butterflies this year, not a good sign. Thanks for your visit, please hurry back.

What beautiful photos today! How cool is that turquoise barn, along the beautiful green countryside. You do seem to have the privilege of the prettiest butterflies, don't you? The chickadee is one of my favorite birds. I have actually had the pleasure of watching one build a nest a few years ago. Remarkable photos, great post! Have a great week ahead, Eileen!

You have had a treasure trove of butterflies this year. I think I've seen more here than the last couple of years. Interesting barn with the doors on the side, loft, I suppose?

Superb collection of butterflies & turtles & a beautiful barn. Would that happen to be an Amish buggy peeking out the side door? It looks like their red safety triangle.
Great post!

as for the butterflies, it has been the opposite for me. BUT we went to a butterfly conservatory in canada, 2000+ butterflies, that made up for it.

gorgeous captures and mosaics, i think the monarchs are migrating now!!!

Dearest Eileen; Wow, your Swallowtail butterflies in the collage and with flowers are magnificent♫♫♫ I still regret that I didn't have camera the day before yesterday. We are in the grave yard visiting week in Japan called ohigan. While approaching, I found very rare butterfly on the beautiful flower alongside the river bank(^^;)
I love the waterlines as well, they are beautiful on the rainy season around June here.

Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
