Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
These are photos from our short trip to Ocean City, Md and Assateague Nat'l Seashore. I love seeing the wild ponies, we had some great sightings of the ponies and we also saw various birds.
We saw some of the horses while driving thru the campground. One horse walked up to the van's window, I think it was looking for food. We did not see it being fed, that is against the rules.
The Yellow-rumped Warblers were everywhere on the Assateague Island.
A closer look at the Yellow-rumped Warbler,
A Great Blue Heron
The Sanderlings were on the beach at Assateague.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments this past year !
Here is a list of my linky parties;
Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

You are so fortunate to have gotten to visit Assateague Nat'l Seashore, and see the wild horses there. I have wanted to go there for a very long time, maybe one day... I have had friends go and never even get to see a horse and so this was really a nice treat to see that you all did. Thanking you for all that you do for us Eileen. Hugs~ReplyDelete

Our critters are indoors these days!ReplyDelete
I would love to see those horses, they are amazing and so beautiful. i am thinking a few people have not abided by the rules and gave in and fed them.. that one looks like he knows food comes out of a window on a carReplyDelete
Love the horses! Happy St Patrick's Day, Eileen!ReplyDelete
that looks like a great spot to see and explore nature and wildlife!! i have never seen wild horses, they are beautiful!! you captured some great captures of the birds...the warblers are such cute, plump little birds!!!ReplyDelete
the last image of the hoses was a real treat!!
Hello Eileen. Those wild ponies are just spectacular and beautiful. Such a shame that they seem to approach the cars. Some people are very stupid in that they can not understand what "wild" means. Beautiful picture of the Yellow-rumped Warbler - it looks so fragile and vulnerable away from trees and bushes to hide.ReplyDelete
Have a lovely weekend and thanks for the link-up today.
Eileen, Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you and your family. Keep those critter photos coming. Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Always wanted to go there. Thanks for bringing us, EReplyDelete
You're in a great critter area.ReplyDelete
I lived in Raleigh NC in the 90s and always intended to go see the wild ponies, but never did. They sure are beautiful. I'm happy you got to see them and shared. Happy St. Patrick's Day!ReplyDelete

Hello Eileen!:) Happy St Patricks Day!:) Have just returned from my son's birthday celebration, and am a little late with my comment. I just love your photos of the wild ponies. The scenery and colours are wonderful, and put me in mind of beautiful paintings. The little Warbler is pretty, and you got a great shot of the Heron. Thank you so much for hosting.:)ReplyDelete

Hi Eileen, I enjoyed all the photos from your trip to Ocean City, Md and Assateague National Seashore. I love the little Yellow-rumped Warbler ... what a sweet looking little bird! I have been thinking about you when I see the news reports on the weather back East. I am sure sorry to hear about all the difficulties. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that things will get back to normal soon! Take good care Eileen! JohnReplyDelete

Hope you've had a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Happy St Pat’s Day . . . a day late . . .ReplyDelete
Loved the Wild Pony pictures!
We've been to Assateague Island! We will never forget it because the mosquitoes were as thick as pea soup and as large as bats! Even the best insect repellent was no match for them! I prefer looking at the ponies through my computer.ReplyDelete
We loved our visit there so much -- one of the highlights not only of our RV trip up the East Coast, but of our whole RVing years. It is a wonderful place and I wish we could visit again. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and the memories!ReplyDelete
I would so love to go and see the wild ponies!ReplyDelete
On a Facebook page for Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy they posted about 2 Trumpeter Swans that flew into a private neighborhood pond. I would have loved to see them, I remember seeing them when we lived in Alaska. But just like your picture of the ponies, I enjoyed the photos of them too!
Have a good week - More winter is on the way. At least that's what they're telling us.
Hi Eileen, Wonderful post as usual. Love the horses - brings back childhood book memories. We have all the critters here including wild horses except that the horses are not in my immediate community but rather about 80 miles N. at Paynes Prairie State Park. We do have a lot of the warblers and of course the herons. Have a super good coming week!ReplyDelete
This post in regards to the ponies took me back to my childhood! :) Misty of ChincoteagueReplyDelete
Happy first day of spring, dear Eileen.ReplyDelete
Hello Eileen. So beautiful photos of the horses and the birds. Have a happy week ahead.ReplyDelete
The wild ponies are beautiful!ReplyDelete
