Happy Monday, wishing everyone a great week ahead!
These are some more images from our visit to the Assateague Island National Seashore. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk trails, seeing the horses, birds, ducks and geese. We watched some surfers, surprising they can handle being in the cold ocean water. We saw a beautiful sunset that evening at the Ocean City Inlet.
The boardwalk trail at Assateague, has some great views of the marsh and wetlands.
A look at some the trails at Assateague, the marsh trail and boardwalk.
The Beach at Assateague Island National Seashore.
We practically had the beach to ourselves. There were a few surfers around. Not many birds on the beach, a few gulls here and there.
Looking back at the bay, bridge to Assateague Island and a large flock of Canada Geese.

ReplyDeleteHello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images and view from the beach. The sunset is so lovely.
Happy Monday!
Hello, I like the views from the boardwalk...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!
looking at human free beaches has a calming effect, even more than a goregous sunset or sunrise. i love the blue sky, water and sand. i spent many hours sitting in a low chair, in the edge of the surf, calming myself during my divorce
ReplyDeleteIt is a very grand place indeed and I am sure that beautiful sunset inspired romantic notions not stirred in years!
ReplyDeleteBelas fotografias, gostei e aproveito para desejar um bom Carnaval.

ReplyDeleteEileen - Assateague and Chincoteague are lovely places … we visited when the kids were in high school - a classic family vacation. I think the beaches were a little more crowded then - LOL. I think I would like to go in the winter - your shots have a serenity about them that attracts me! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, and have a great week!
