Hello, Happy Thursday!
Some days hubby and I stay close to home and take our walks on the local fire road. On this day we walked round trip 3 miles to the lake.
"I am grateful for this beautiful world we call our home."
Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.
Some pretty wild roses seen along the fire road.
Nature is not a place to visit, it is home!
A look into the forest from the fire road.
A view of the lake and pretty sky!
Canada Geese were seen across the lake.
"Be thankful for the beauty of nature."
The Indigo Buntings were singing loudly. On our walk I also heard the Scarlet Tanagers, Ovenbirds, Northern Parula, Wood Thrush, and the Yellow-billed Cuckoo. I had a quick sighting of a few American Redstarts and heard some unknown bird sounds.
I am thankful and happy I have a calm life.
I am thankful for all your visits and comments.
Thank you Michelle for hosting Thankful Thursday.

Almost home we took a peek at the Great Blue Heron chicks on the nest, they are growing fast.
