Our World, My World

Hello Happy Monday,

Some images and the latest from my corner of the world and my neighborhood.

On Feb 3rd, we had a warm sunny day, perfect for a walk to the lake.  Just a short drive around the other side of our lake is one of my favorite places to walk. I wanted to take the fire road to the lake where we can see the eagles nest.

"One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." William Shakespeare

Walking along the fire road, I heard various woodpeckers, we saw the Northern Flicker and theTufted Titmouse were fussing at us.  I could here some Kinglets, Chickadees, there were one or two Common Mergansers on the lake with a group of Canada Geese.

I could hear and see 2 juvenile Bald Eagles flying over us as we walked down the fire road.  They may be the juveniles born last year.

"Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I looked across the lake to see the nest, it did not look like the Bald Eagle is there unless it is laying down low.  There was one adult Bald Eagle in a near by tree.

At the end of the fire road we take a smaller trail that follow along the lake shore.

Me and my shadow at the lake.

Views of our lake and the Canada Geese.

The adult Bald Eagle sitting in a tree not far from the nest.

A pretty view of the lake

The is a view of the field across from the parking lot at the beginning of the fire road.

Please check out and visit the following memes and links. I hope to see you there.

Du hittar alltid något spännande och intressant att rikta kameran på. The bald eagle, en mäktig och vacker fågel, det måste kännas i själen att få se och uppleva denna grandiosa fågel.

Oh, Eileen, how much I like this post. The bare trees rising to the sky. The birds. The open water. You are the second person to link to MM this week with pictures of eagles and nests. How delightful to know that another spring and another breeding season are upon us, even if it is yet to come to Montana. Thanks so much for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Beijinhos! Continuação de uma feliz semana!

So many people are moving to Canada because of all the crime here in Illinois (mainly Chicago). I live about 45 minutes from Chicago (very bad) & 20 minutes from Aurora (BAD)! My neck of the world not so bad, but I just don't know about the politics and there is so much HATE in the U.S. It worries me for my children & grandchildren. I'm almost afraid to shut my eyes at night with all the killings, break ins, etc. no matter where you go. It's so sad. I was never afraid as a child, but I'm afraid for my children & grandchildren. I've thought of moving to Canada, but hubby said your politics are so good either. Is that true??? Thank you. Have a great day. Your pics are soooooooo awesome! Love the eagle. We have eagles near me too. I live near Fox River (7 blocks from my house). I have a pic of one at the top of a church right next to the crucifix. I'll post it for you!

Hello Dolly, I have not heard that so many people were moving to Canada. If they are scared where they are living, sick of the politics I can understand why. We need to fix the problems, end the corruption. I live in a rural area of Maryland, USA and I would not move out of the country. Thanks for the visit and comment. Enjoy your day!
