Saturday's Critters # 456

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

More local birds, backyard butterflies and blooms and the grand-dogs. Our son's fence is supposed to be done this week, as I type this the dogs could be home or heading home.

1. Aug 25th,  a walk with the grand-dogs and some of our backyard blooms, birds and butterflies.

2. Aug 25th, flowers on our deck and around the yard. A male Ruby-throated hummingbird is showing off his pretty ruby necklace.

3. Aug 25th , a larger image of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. I am seeing 4-5 hummingbirds zooming around our yard and coming to the feeders.

4. Three butterfly species, the Swallowtail, Monarch and a Fritillary seen on our Lantana plant.

5. Aug 26th, I noticed this Tennessee Warbler from our kitchen window. I think it was eating bugs that are on the butterfly bush.

6. Aug 26th, I am seeing lots of Black Swallowtail butterflies and just one Monarch at our Lantana plant.

7.  Aug 26th, a mosaic with various captures of the Tennessee Warbler hopping around our butterfly bushes catching bugs to eat.

8. Aug 26th, it is molting season and the Cardinals are looking a little ragged.

I hope you enjoyed my birds, butterflies and our cute grand-dogs.

Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

  29. Yes, dear Eileen,
I enjoyed your birds, butterflies and your cute grand-dogs :-D That's a fascinating flutter in your Lantana plant! The Ruby-throated hummingbird is a gorgeous fellow - it must be so nice to have hummingbirds scurrying through your garden! And also the Tennessee Warbler is very pretty. The cardinal does look a little ragged, but that's necessary in birds. Soon he'll be pretty as ever again :-D
Have a nice weekend, soft and gentle stroking to the granddogs and all the best, Traude

  30. Very nice flowers, birds and grand-dogs. You are causing me critter envy. Our hummingbirds are down to 2-3 and the feeder now lasts three days instead of being drawn down by early afternoon. I have been searching for warblers, particularly the Tennessee as it often forages among goldfinches. No luck except for one Northern Parula acting like a goldfinch..

  31. Good morning Eileen and happy Saturday and what a crew of sweet critters you've posted today. The Ruby throated Hummingbird what a beautiful capture it is. Hummingbirds are such a joy to see when visiting, as most all birds in fact. I can't believe it's time to start thinking about fall approaching I'm really still stuck in a want-it-to-be-summer mode! Enjoy your weekend and wanderings which will feel really different now that your grandpups are back home! Take care.

  39. I love all your pics. We started having lots of hummingbirds in our backyard starting two or three weeks ago. We had none last year. They are so fun to watch and they see to have different personalities.
Our cardinals are also molting, and they look very two toned and ratty. The males are getting aggressive with each other.
Have a great weekend, and I do appreciate you hosting.

Beijinhos
