Saturday's Critters # 498

 Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday! Happy 4th of July weekend!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

1. May 9th-10th, nearing the end of our time in Clifden. On this day we stopped at various places, the Connemara National Park. We had time to check out the park's visitor center, we hiked in the rain on the nature trail past a few waterfalls, we saw lots of wild garlic, bluebells and the Pied Wagtail.

2. Next we were at the Kylemore Abbbey and Gardens, a small bus took us to the near by gardens. We spent some time walking around the garden paths.

3.  Kylemore Abbey tour, a beautiful setting with the lake in front and mountains behind the Abbey.

4.  Kylemore Abbey Chapel and nature trail, we spent enough time here we had a nice lunch in the cafe and a walk on the nature trail and time to check out the chapel. I heard more birds than I could see along this nature trail.

5.  My first sighting of a Dunnock, seen on the grounds of the Kylemore Abbey. We lucked out with the sunshine on this day.

6. This Eurasian Robin landed on a picnic table next to my hubby.

7. Back on the road, the sheep were on the wrong side of the fence.

May 10th , next we were driving along on the Wild Atlantic Way heading to Galway and our Doolin B&B called Churchfield.  More Ireland scenes, birds and photos coming soon.

Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

  11. Oh, you triggered wonderful memories for me again, dear Eileen! We've been to all of these places - and Kylemore Abbey really is a gem. I'm particularly happy that you saw the Eurasian Robin sooo close 😍. Yes, the sheep in Ireland, they often don't stick to their fences 😉 - but they're even better on the side of the road than in the middle of the road! (We also had several times...)
Warm July greetings and all the best, Traude

  31. Kylemore Abby is in a beautiful county in Ireland! I visited it long long ago, when I was only 19 years old on my first trip to Ireland. I've been back to Ireland, both the North and the Republic many times since and always enjoy my visits. The one area I have not seen fully was the NW corner, which is most likely where most of my Irish ancestors immigrated from, so I'd love to go there next trip. Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy July! Glad to share some critters on my blog today!

  33. What an amazing setting for that Abbey! Love it. The sheep on the wrong side of the fence and the birds are fun to see. Your collages are very cool of those amazing sites! We pulled the trigger and have flights along with 4 of our kids flying in and out of Dublin but also taking a hopper flight into Manchester, England. We will have a short time in Ireland but will try to get the most we can out of our time there. I've sure enjoyed the photos from your tour. Our daughter and her husband are staying in Ireland and taking a tour with a company while our son and his wife and we journey on to England for a few days. Happy July to you!

It doesn't stop raining on the Emerald Island... Here, in the Algarve, the highs are around 30ºC and in Dublin, 17ºC.

I come to say goodbye for a long vacation time...
